KEVYN

Kevyn is BB’s youngest son. He reminds me so much of his father. He has the same characteristics that make my heart melt; coyish smile, strapping handsomeness with a dash of ruggedness, keen insight, command of all animals. I have to admit that I’m very jealous of this attribute. I like to tease BB and Kev and call them “Saint Francis of Assisi”, of course they have no inkling as to whom I’m referring too.

Kev emulates his father and wants to follow in his foot steps. If his dad drinks Lipton ice tea, so will he, playing football just like his dad, but of course! It doesn’t help when BB says that “football players get all the hot chicks”. Kev wants to join the military right out of high school just like his dad did so many years ago. That’s my boy. I could see him in serving in the special forces or rangers.

He has his fathers sweetness…

He was there for me when I first started to learn how to snowboard. We shared his board and took turns going down Enchantment Hill. He, ever so carefully, hooking up my bindings and latching my boots into place, helping me stand up and pointing me in the right direction and reaching out a kind hand to me, pulling me up from the muck and getting me back on my board again so I can try again. He was there for me.

When the day came and he proclaimed that it was time to go to the real hill as in THUNDER MOUNTAIN, he was there watching me take my first lesson with one of those cute 19 year old snowboarding dudes, he was there cheering me on.

He really caught me off gaurd

when it came time to ride the chiar lift with all the newbies. He knew it was now the time that worried me the most! He had the insight to feel my worried anticipation.. THE CHAIR LIFT!!! The lift controller slowing the chair lift way, way down for the likes of me and the other newbies,

Kev slipped into the line and joined up with me.

Being very careful not to rock the chair too much, this action relieved me and I was thankful he was joining me for the long ride or should I say the loooong FALL down the hill again and again .

I don’t need Kev anymore to pick me up when I fall or to adjust my latches, or to share his snowboard. I have my very own fancy dancy snowboard now. I have flown the coop

soaring on my own

You can count on me to be a great step mother
