EXPERIENCE WHISTLER

Whilster,Canada is one of my favorite places to relax and forget about life as I know it. Retail therapy in this beautiful swiss alpine village with cobblestone walkways lead me to my drugs of choice: clothes, beauty products and jewelry in that order. La Chateau has the trendiest clothes and a dirt cheap prices even cheaper with my American money. I stepped one foot into the “Blue Balls Botique” a very exclusive shop. I turned around and walked out after glancing at a price tag for a pair of hip huggers. I guess if you have to read the price tags you really have no business shopping at this store. The jeans cost over $300.00. Hanging up was a shirt, the young sales girl told me it was one of her hottiest shirts this season. On the shirt was a black and white pic of Madonna kissing Brittney. She said it was the rave of Whistler. Oh brother! Enough already! Those two have both “jumped the Shark.

Whistler Blackcomb was rated the number one snowboard resort in North America–the longest run is over 7 miles long. There is the world famous Nintendo Terrain park which features the super pike the biggest most immaculate pipe. Tunes with no swear words a family friendly park, mellow in the morning and grow harder as the day wears on and your adreneline is pumping. All is well, but, I didn’t gallivant off to the the slopes this time around. I’m just not good enough yet. But by looking at this picture I have high aspirations of winning the gold medal in snowboarding at the 2010 winter games. I can hear the crowd now hooting and hollering.

MOVE OVER GRETCHEN BLEILER HERE I COME

My sister and her husband own this beautiful home which is walking distance from the village. We walked back and forth several times. I fondly remember walking back home drunk on my ass and saying “help I’ve fallen and can’t get up.” Damn! the ice was slippery. I’m very grateful that she shares her wealth and hospitality. The picture is a view for the living room window.

Life doesn’t get any better with canadian Klondike beer, snow, hot tub, and what’s his name–oh yeah Brian (BB’s work buddy) although i might add a hot tub full of 19 year old snowboarding dudes would be just fine with me too.
