Dude where’s my car
It has been a rough 4 days of wicked weather conditions
heavy snow
chucky ice
slippery roads
upside down tractor trailers
My little escape–I’m so proud of you. You handled the roads like a pro. Still loving my heated seat for my bottom!
Thankful for my studded snow tires
Not thankful when I came to work and found out that my memory care unit hand no power which means no lighting. You would think my company should have the foresight to install a generator to power up everthing.
I have 16 dementia resident that I had to keep confined in our dining area no music no heat no ligting. When the power went out caused or secured doors to not lock. I had to bring in extra care staff to man the doors. It would be a bad situation to have one of my residents get outside and lost in this freezing cold snowy weather.
I put out puzzles, books, picture postcards to keep them occupied. I had also brought in a dozen glazed donuts from Krispie Kremes.
The power came back on and 1:00am Yeah!
It was a hard hard day. Happy that everybody survived the great storm
Oh my…that sounds ridiculously challenging! And a dozen Krispie Kremes for 16 people! I’m sure some didn’t want any, but still…I would want at least 3 for myself. LOL. I get a donut about once very five years. I do love them though. You deserve to treat yourself. You did good today. Dang! I’m super impressed.

Btw, what state do you live in? Are you in Washington? I keep forgetting. I told my husband about your day and we laughed. Really. I mean…what a day! LOL!

I would think they would have a generator. Even the hospital in my dinky town has one and there are seldom any power outages. It is a hospital/nursing home combo.

It amazes me that your car is under there.

Hard day, indeed. You must be WonderWoman!

Wow. I would think your state probably has laws about a facility needing to have backup generators in a nursing home. Glad you survived the storm. We got our first snow of the year this weekend (yes, you read that right). Now it’s raining and it’s all gone. I hope we get no more. I had enough of that stuff last year!

ryn: I’m afraid that it might have slipped out of my wallet at Trader Joe’s when I pulled out my debit card while I was in line. I use a change purse as a wallet for my cash and debit cards. I’m sick over it but glad that it’s not going to cause a major financial problem for me. It was Christmas money, so no real loss to me.

ryn: Thanks! It’s actually a year & a half old. It suddenly occurred to me that I’m faves only now so I don’t have to hide. LOL!
