Blissfully Autumn

Fall is my favorite season of the year! I love this season because of all the yummy treats to inhale. It’s all about the hot Ziegier’s apple cider, pumpkin pie spice coffee and lattes, carmal apples. I love C.A.N.D.Y(!!) A double exclaimation mark. Candy is cheaper this time of year. I just love*Love*LOVE candy corn, hot piping soups like minostronie, spicy chilli and a hearty bowl of New England clam chowder.

I *heart* Autumn Leaves, leaves and more Leaves crunching at my feet. I love how each leaf is different in every way. Not to forget all the glorious robust colors.

I <3 the smells of autumn the smell of wood burning. I like to mix my wood in our wood stove, the likes of alder, cherry, fir, madrona, cotton wood and the 400 year old white spurce. This mixure makes for the most fantabulous of smells. It's the smell of HOME the smell of where your heart belongs. I love the smells of apples and Washington state is all about apples: Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp, and Golden delicious. It's the season to make candles and light them up. Enjoying enjoy the aromas of fall: clove and cinnamin, gingerbread, spice apple maple, and the trusted vanilla candles. Its fun to turn off all the lights and watch the flickering of the candles on a cold autumn day.

Autumn is about switching out the summer clothes. I love the sense of order and organization, reminds me of those mountain chipmunks preparing for winter. I take away those short sleave shirts, capris, tank tops, shorts and bikinis and bring on those warm fuzzies and getting cozy with the latest sweaters, legginggs, gloves and scrafs and not forgetting the cordory and cardigans. Fall is also about the ceremonial changing of the purses which is an absolute must do. I switch out the straw hand bags and put forth the soft leather and velvety bags.

It’s the time of year to take stock in my life, preparing for the harsh winter like stocking up on dog food, toilet paper, paper towels, gasoline and fire starters as well as candles. It’s time to think ahead, plan out the trips out of town and outings in town. For me, it’s also the time to prepare my car for the likes of being stranded; a warm down blanket, flash lights, pillows, bottled water, a good book and non-perishable food. Just in case the mountain pass closes down.

I love this time of year~

You have no idea how much I envy your life!

take care, it might be a long one.

What a nice entry! I love fall too although we don’t have all the elements to the extent you do in Washington. I hope to someday experience a white Christmas! Other than that, I wouldn’t know what to do with snow! I sure wouldn’t want to drive in it!
