8 more shopping days
As you can see by looking at this pic, I have been very busy shopping. I went to Tacoma Mall–I really do hate going to the mall because I have a hard time containing myself with all the beautifully displayed merchandise that is vociferating me-I want everything, and everything wants me and everything is on sale!!!!! My first stop was I made it through the front door and was immediately trapped in the snare–of the womens shoe section. My hands picked up a pair of lovely black suede clogs with shearline trim. So soft with a velvety touch–oh so cozy and perfect for work. Good thing there wasn’t a size 6 1/2. If there was, I would have most certainly bought the shoes. I needed to take a deep breath and focus and repeat after me “I’m shopping for others…not me I Went up the esculator and broke down in the cooking section, I just had to buy 2 large cookie sheets triple-coated-non stick-aluminized steel-with silicone handles. Yes, these are for me but I will be making cookies for other people so this purchase was absolutely justified. At the check out register I did buy two suede photo album books for my two nieces in college.–I still had suede on the brain you see. I then slowly, and contemplating walked past Victoria Secret Ok, so I walked by but felt weak in the knees and thought it would be ok just to look and admire and then get out quickly. I was very good and didn’t even buy anything-well ok the truth is that the line at the register was about 20 people long. So, I put this back on the shelf for some other lucky person to claim
Proud of myself about my good control I decided to test myself and see if I could go to Nordstroms and not buy anything for me. I walked right passed the shoe section which happens to be THE HOOK-meaning you get hooked into the store and spend, spend away your money on shoes. I walked right passed it and kept my eyes focused toward the right–ya right onto the MAC counter–a girl could never have enough lipstick you know I had very good control of me and briskly walked to the TBA clothing attire. My hands were on a few Juicy items but I was just looking and I don’t need any help to look, I politely told the sales girl. I was losing control and started to get a little dizzy-I marched myself right out of the store– Alas,I did look just a side glance at the shoe section -lots of ugg boots-damn those things are ugly-I read in the US magazine that they were last years rave. No biggie I don’t need them now -they have jumped the shark I was so proud of me what an acclaimed accomplishment!!–GO ME— Found Old Navy and bought brightly colored purses for my nieces which were under $8. I also bought some doggie toys, Frisbee and a dog caller which says “I LOVE SNOW”
I donated another $20.00 into the kettle–still very mad at Target about refusing to allow the bell ringers. I have taken many drunks to the Salvation Army for de-tox, this organization is a life saver–God Bless Them! SHAME ON YOU TARGET! I have decided not to buy any of my Christmas presents at Target to boycott their decision. My heart is just not into shopping at this store–It was my favorite store but not anymore.
Bath and Body Works has many gift items which were perfect for my 5 sisters. Many of their gifts are in the pic, the polar bear, Raindeer, and puppy dog, candles and “hot” purse. I’m sure they will be fighting over them and trading with each other but that’s ok with me.
It was a good shopping day, only three trips to the car to stash my loot into the trunk. Still need to get more gifts–why do I always wait until the last minute to do stuff!! One of these years, I will have all my gifts bought and wrapped in October when stuff starts going on sale.
hmmmm I thought that Christmas shopping didn’t even start till this weekend 🙂

I never paid much attention to what Target does or does not do until just recently when so many are angry about the bell ringers not allowed there. I seem to buy stuff for me while I’m shopping for others, but I always try to limit myself from too much me-stuff 🙂

I dispise large crowds and Malls so I guess I am safe from that worry, but have to agree with a previous noter that I thought Christmas shopping didn’t start till next week…right around Wed. or Thurs should do it…lol.

not me. I shop Target’s. I figure that they broke their no soliciation policy for the SA for years an d gave them months and months notice that they would not break it again. The SA conveniently made an issue out of it at this time. And There are ather brand name stores that don’t allow SA. Partly because in our lawsuit country there have been organations that are suing if they cannot solicit

maybe someday our country will stand up and allow buisness owners to have control of what should be private decisions again and not have to worry about being sued bcause they turned one group down but allowed another.

I am tired of just thinking about shopping.

Everybody should always be thinking of Taco Bell. I would take Taco Bell over a $100 steak any day.
