new guy!

i found a new guy.  he’s cute, funny, travels, has money, wants kids, almost everything i’m looking for……

but  he doesn’t show emotions so i’m not sure if he is interested.

we had our first date/first meet last monday.  he travels alllll week for work and is really only available on the weekends, so it was tough getting together.  it went well, and at the end he said if i wanted to get together between holidays to give him a call. (good sign!)

so, thursday i texted him and asked if he wanted to hang out.  he wrote back a few hours later and said he was going to be in my area that afternoon if i wanted to get together.  so, i said yes and picked that we would meet at fridays.  we did and conversation was a bit more difficult to get started, but we did eventually get one started.  he was telling me that he went to the craft store near me to get stuff and i asked what he was making and he described it.  also, when talking about his work, he mentioned a movie that is similar to his lifestyle and work.  towards the end, we started talking about his craft project again and he said his sister mentioned it should be moveable (he wants to use pins and string to outline all of the places he has flown to).  he originally wanted to just put it on his wall but his sister said someone might not like it.  since he is a bachelor, he said he doesn’t want his place to be too man-cave-ish.  when he was telling me this, he emphasized the word "someone" and it can be interpreted that he was referring to me, or maybe he was just emphasizing that word to mean his future girlfriend/wife who would be living with him.  i kinda hope he meant me, but he really is too good to be true. 

anyway, as we were leaving, he gave me a hug and i asked what the name of the movie was again.  he told me and i suggested that we could watch it and he said yeah.  it could have been a happy yeah, it could have been a yeah, i’m cold and i want to get in my car, or it could have been a yeah i’m gonna blow you off though.

i texted him thanking him for a great time and said that i wanted to see the finished project.  never heard back.  which is not atypical.  he said he doesn’t always have something to say so he just doesn’t respond.  i know he is going to the game sunday night so i might text him to have fun and whatnot but i really want to get together and see him again.  i hate being the one to take the reins, cause it seems like i’m always the one doing that.  but, he has good potential.  and i like him.  and it will be good for me to be with someone new that has the qualities i want. 

i need to review our conversations with a guy friend and get his opinion.  ugh
