it went well :)
last night’s dinner with kevin went well. he ate a ton of the ham and green beans and almost all of the rolls. we didn’t touch the potatoes 🙁 i wanted to bring them out to the table but he didn’t have a trivet (forgot he is a guy and does not have a well stocked kitchen when it comes to cooking utensils), so i left them in the kitchen. i brought the potatoes home, but left everything else there for him to eat. he asked me to marry him again, lol. it was a nice dinner. he set the table and it was super cute. i cleared when we were done and we both put the leftover food away. so domestic 🙂
after dinner, we watched a movie. the heartbreak kid. it was ok. funny thing though, his regular dvd player had the subtitles stuck on. we tried turning them off from the tv, the dvd player, and the movie, but they were still there. so, we tried the other dvd player which is a little kid one. it only has play and stop. we got about a third of the way thru the movie and the dvd player started skipping and making a weird sound. so, he decided we were going to watch from his laptop. we put it in front of the couch, on the floor (he doesn’t have a coffee table), and he hooked up some speakers. it was fun! a little unconventional, maybe, but that made the date better.
after the movie, we went to bed and had some adult time (he is very good at adult time!), and i thought about staying over. i think i might the next time i go up there. i wasn’t prepared to stay over last night so i ended up leaving around 1 am. next time, i’ll bring contacts and a toothbrush or something so i can stay. and maybe some clothes.
overall we had a good time. i think this is going well 🙂
on a side note, i’m experimenting with a recipe right now. my friend makes pumpkin spice cupcakes just using cake mix and pumpkin puree. she also adds chocolate chips sometimes. i had 3 large very ripe bananas so i’m trying out banana spice cupcakes. it smells delish so far. it was so easy! peel bananas, put in a bowl. dump in spice cake mix. beat with mixer (i tried by hand but i wasn’t successful, the mixer needs to puree the banana). i am waiting for the oven to finish heating so i can put them in. i have some chocolate chips and some pecans so i might make a few with them. they are also pretty low on the weight watchers scale. without the chips or pecans, each cupcake is 3 points (if you make 24). i really hope they turn out good!!
I have made those! They are yummy! I’m glad your date went well!
