morning rush…**

the to Vet Clinic. Oy.

Molly, my sweet golden retriever, managed to injure her eye somehow yesterday. I noticed it last night, and I called as soon as the clinic opened up to see if I can get her in today. We went at 8am, after I dropped the kids off at daycare and grocery shopped (I’m feeling pretty productive..), and they ended up keeping her to sedate her to get a better look. They’re hoping they can stitch her cornia, if there’s not any deeper damage, and then stitch her third eyelid over until she has a chance to heal her eye. Hopefully they can fix it. 🙁

* The vet just called, and she said the eye was ruptured down to the last layer, but her iris was moved off to the side of her eye, so it doesn’t look damaged. They’re putting her all the way under to stitch her eye, and then stitch her third eye lid over her eye and then stitch her eyes closed.. and in 5 days we’ll go back and see how it looks. My poor baby. 🙁

** Molly is home. $330.00 later. Oy.

The doctor ended up just sewing her third eye lid closed, and left her eye open so I can apply an ointment to it twice daily. She’s also on oral antibotics and antibiotics for an ear infection. We go back in 5 days to see how she’s doing.
