alternatickers - cool, free web tickers

It seems like things are progressing similar to the way they did with Xavier prior to labor. With him, I had 3 or 4 hours of mildly painful (a bit more intense than menstrual cramps) contractions for three evenings in a row before going into labor. Last night I had a good four hours of consistent, mildly painful contractions (probably a 2 or 3 out of a rating of 10) before falling to sleep for the night. I’m pretty achey in my lower back and hips today, too. Prior to now I really had no pains in my lower back or hips, believe it or not.

I went shopping with Joshs mom for four hours this afternoon. We also stopped and had lunch. She got a bunch of stuff for care packages for him, and I ended up getting a few things that he requested this morning, too. For some reason the last two times she’s sent him packages, she has me pack them up and address them. I don’t mind, I’m glad she’s just sending him things this time. She dropped me off back at home and I managed to put all of her items into two boxes, and cram all of mine into one. I called her when I was finished and filling out the paperwork to see if she wanted to throw in a letter, or if Josh’s sister wanted to write a letter. I really didn’t know whether to believe Josh or not when he told me that his family sent him nothing the entire time he was deployed last time. But I have a hard time believing they did send him anything considering she really has no idea about filling out the paperwork or anything involving shipping to Afghanistan. I can’t really wrap my mind around that…

And I guess that’s it. Nothing too exciting. Just a waitin’…
