A cliché, but still 100% true
Sometimes it’s very useful to stop taking the little but in fact so important things for granted. Being with your family, getting compliments, being healthy, having a bed to sleep in, having liters of water for free, have a good laugh, being able to get an education… I think it’s normal that we ("richt people") automatically take it for granted and stop cherishing it at one point because you can get used to everything. But once in a while, when you find yourself only complaining about everything, it becomes very handy thinking about everything you’ve already got and stop thinking about what you don’t have. It’s what I am going to try, because right now I’m kind of trapped into this routine of getting up, going to school, becoming frustrated about my childish classmates, coming home and being grumpy because I still have to do homework AND actually also work for my finals. But life is more than that and I seemed to have forgotten that.
