my 17 year old brother is making me an aunt
So, I had been keeping his little secret for him from the family, because I thought it was his place, and his problem to let them know about. But after he kept saying he’d ‘do it tomorrow’ I decided Enough of that. I hinted to my mom, and she guessed it right. And of course, they said they’d let him tell them, but ten min later, my parents called saying, Oh by the way, you hafta tell him we know… etc etc. Anyways. I smoothed things over for him, turns out, and so he wasn’t mad.
While my parents aren’t happy about being grandparents, my mom and stepdad are standing behind him and doing what they can. Dylan’s girlfriend, and now babymama, Sam, well her family is stoked. She is a junior like Dylan, but is just turning 17 in june. They’re like, already paying for lamaze classes. Its like wtf? Anyways… Dylan is still going into the military, and I guess he’s on some delayed entry, so he gets 19 grand extra? Idk.
I guess they’re planning on getting married either next june or sept, before or after he gets outta boot camp. I guess they’ll live together wherever he’s stationed.
I knew this was going to happen… what’s weirder is I’ve been working on a book about siblings, based on my siblings and I, and h is character and Sam’s replica character DO have a baby… and just a month or so ago, I was talking to Dylan about having kids. He said he wasn’t planning on ever having any, but if one came along, he knew it would be the best thing to happen to him.
I am excited about becoming an aunt, though. And I know how to handle kids. But with my acting scholarship, now I’m defo on my way to becoming an actress as a career.
People ask me how I handle it; wanting to be an actress with the VAST amounts of actresses out there, and how actresses have a harder time than actors because men can be fat and ugly (hello Seth Rogen, Will Farrel, and co) But here’s the simple answer- life is a competition. And you just have to search deep within your soul to know what makes you happy, and what you think you’re meant for. All I can do, is practice, practice, practice… Have patience have confidence, and most importantly, have faith.
In my opinion, everything happens for a reason…. As long as you work hard and know what you want, you’ll be happy. I’m sure of that. Yeah, I have competition like Scarlett Johanson, Kristen Stewart, Megan Fox, all those stupid CW girls… but whatever. People rise, people fall…. its the very nature of the game. I know im not in this for fame or fortune… I’m in this because I LOVE IT. Enough said 🙂
So when you find something you love, and there’s TONS of competition, yeah you should think about that, but dont drown in it. Because if you think about it too much, it’ll kill you…. Remember karma WILL bite you in the ass, so dont walk ALL over people. Do your own thing.. you’ll find your way, all you have to do is keep focused.
I know that sounded cheesy, but guess what? Cheesy crap is usually right 😉
I love this entry! I’m going to friend you if you don’t mind. 🙂 you write in such a straightforward way. I used to be able to do that. Maybe sometime I will.
