Ya’ll….I got great news!!

So I had an interview at Wally World at 10:30 this morning. I made sure to get there earlier, since Uber got jokes lately lol. I spent the extra time to go grab some antacids, sniff a few candles, and scope out some kitchen utensils and stuff I’ll need for when I move. Then I sat down in the Subway until it was time to head up to the desk. After speaking with the customer service folks, I was told to meet the manager I am interviewing with in the layaway area. The interview went fairly well, and they were trying to get more information for me about the job being full time or part time. I told them I was actually looking for full time, and that I was willing to change my availability to accommodate that. So after speaking with the manager and the store lead, I found that they start you off part time, 32-34 hours, but that after giving time to see how I work I could get 40 in as little as two weeks of working. SO that made me feel a little better because I didn’t want to quit two part time jobs for a part time job, would not be worth my time. The interview went longer than I expected, mostly due to the guy trying to get the information I was asking about the position being full or part time, then told me he was going to talk to the hiring manager and tell them to hire me. Thankfully they were able to reach them, they took my ID to make a copy, and went ahead and sent me the offer email and the background check form. So once that comes back, they’ll call me with a start date for orientation. I told them I’d put in a two weeks at both jobs and work around my days off to start computer training when needed. So I got put into the system and found that I got a work credit of $1.20 more than what they start you off at in the deli. So I will be making $16.20 an hour, which is more than what I was expecting and I am happy about that. Once I hit the 40 hrs a week, that is definitely enough for me to not only quit working two jobs, it will meet income requirements for my own apt and I could possibly stay in THIS complex. It’s more convenient for me that way, but I won’t count out other options if I somehow can’t get one at this current complex. I really like these apts, so I’d rather stay, plus like I said they are on the bus line that takes me right to work and back.  So yes, I am sooo excited. I will be working on getting my things together here, buying things I’ll need for my apt, and saving up as much money as possible. FINALLY some good news. I got the job offer before I even left the interview, or the store. That’s pretty darn fast, but when I tell you I am grateful as heck for this, I AM!
