Well Done

We got a little preview from our photo session this weekend and I think they might be my favorite pictures of Vivien yet.  I’m incredibly excited to see the rest, but these are great.

Part of my excitement comes from the fact that she had a little tanturm halfway through and started crying pretty hard fairly early in.  It was hot, she slept in the car on the way there and it was 7pm.  Not my bet scheduling idea but I set up the session fairly late because at first I didn’t want to bother with it.  Vivien, as you guys have seen isn’t exactly all smiles when cameras come out.  It’s hard to get her to smile.

I"m glad I did.  She got a new dress for her birthday and it’s also a little fanicer than what we normally buy for her.  For church I usually pair a simple sundress that she can wear to school with a nice cardigan.

Anyways…the dress was also a little dressy for an outdoor shoot with a watermelon theme but I thought she should wear it since it was such a pretty dress. The white cardigan she wore at her birthday (which she also wore to church that morning) will look nice with this, and the I think the size will keep her in this dress until fall. The colors should work for fall too so we may get some good use out of it.

This is also my favorite picture.

We took the pictures in a little historical area in Frisco, the photographer lives in north Fort Worth somewhere (maybe even Bedford or something actually) and she doesn’t have her own studio but uses a few in Frisco and McKinney but mostly works in Grapevine or Arlington at a few parks there.  Anyways, this area was neat since the first picture was at a cute little log cabin, these pictures were on the steps to the little school house.

Since it was a more casual shoot I changed her into a more fun outfit.  Watermelon is a favorite food of Vivien’s right now and  I love that we have this.

This is such a cute photo. She’s actually got a smile!

I also took a wooden number two with us, it’s a great idea but in practice I had a hard time getting her to hold  it.  The photograper said that it’s always a challenge with toddlers and babies and the letters/numbers.  I’m excited to see if any of them turned out.

I think we did good though this time!
