In a really good mood.

 I have no real reason. Still feeling kinda nice from the weekend I guess.

Thursday we had a bit of a power outage, a team event and then I got the rest of the day off (starting at about 2).  So I went and did something that’s been on my mind for a while.  There were a lot of reasons, mostly because I didn’t really think the purchase of an SUV out.  It’s just not the kind of car for me.  Anyways….I got this:

It’s a Volkswagon Passat.  I am happy about this for a number of reasons, but this is a big deal for me.

So the first thing I do with my new car?  Take it for a road trip.  I went to Austin to see my mother and my niece’s dance recital. Friday night I beat a lot of traffic and what should take 3 hours took nearly 6. But I made it and we all shared a sundae:

Later this happened and made me rethink the whole second child thing for like 20 seconds before tossing it aside:

They were watching Beauty & the Beast on my old iPhone.

It was just a really nice weekend.  Here’s a closing shot:
