Many Blessings

Dear Diary,

Here it is Christmas Day…hubby is still asleep and both sons are home as well. In a few short hours we will make the trip to his brother’s for dinner with family, minus his mom and sister. Mom is in the hospital and sis is staying with her. Last night was with my mom and sister and her family, minus the newlyweds. Although Lisa has spent the holidays with her families the past years and not with us, it’s a sad thought to know that she is not in Jas’s life at this time.

It’s been a busy time with wedding preparations during the holiday season. Some things naturally took a “backseat” – the tree being one of them. It is lighted but without the many ornaments it ususally has. Cards, even the few that were sent in the past, did not go out. But the hours spent with sister richly blessed the already good relationship we share.

Such a rambling here. But it will serve as a reminder of things to write about. The wedding. The Christmas program following 5 short hours after the wedding. The boys and sweet Lisa. Six months of “retirement” and five months on the new job. A possible new career opportunity.

Both January and February bring anniversary dates of sorts – and the reason for coming to OD in the first place. Perhaps I’ll be able to revisit those reasons as well.

I know I have… …many blessings.

I found your diary on “Brushstrokes” diary. Your diary caught my eye as I have a daughter, Suzanne. We call her “Susie” or Sue. Good luck with keeping up this diary. I truly enjoy the friendships made on O.D. God Bless! Liz
