These Are the Things

A caring word, a gentle touch, a tender smile may not seem like much.

But these are things a mother does, ways to show her love.

Her faith in God has made her strong.

Her wisdom teaches right from wrong.

Her love erases all our fear and she will kiss away each tear.

A helping hand, a praying voice, a loving heart may not seem like much.

But these are things a mother does, ways to show her love.

She holds her children in her arms, and with her love she helps them grow and then she holds them in her heart, and she will never let them go.
