Strangest Thing

The strangest thing happened today. I came in from the grocery store..after putting everything away I stopped in front of the sink and bam…a pigeon is pushing her chest against the window in front of me…barely holding on to the rim of the window with one foot and flapping away. She was staring right at me. This went on for several minutes. I didn’t know what she wanted. So I took out some mini wheats. I stood on the driveway telling her I brought her some food but I wasn’t going to open the window. She looked at me but refused to move. So placed some food down and went back in. When I went back to the window she was gone. That was the weirdest thing. its summer and there is food everywhere for them. Between neighbors with bird feeders and a wet ground. So I don’t know what she was thinking but it was kinda of cool if not a little strange. I had a pigeon a few years ago. She was shot and we took care of her. She made it a year.

I’ve been wanting to see mom…I hear of others seeing loved ones after they die. But I haven’t had any luck. Some friends have said I may not see her but she will do things to let me know she is around. Maybe that bird was one of those signs. A couple of days after she died a beautiful butterfly landed in my front yard..I haven’t seen one of those in years. It didn’t even mind the dogs running around the yard around it. It just sat a few feet from me facing me on a blade of grass. Things out of the oridinary like that have been happening. But they could mean nothing..that is why I keep hoping one night to see her with my own eyes. Maybe one day.

Just a random passer-by.. I always tend to believe in signs. They may not always be true, but it’s nice to believe that they are. Ya know? It doesn’t hurt anyone. 🙂 That is weird about the pidgeon. I don’t know what I would do! – blue jean baby (I just realized I’m not signed in anymore.. lol)

sounds like your Mom had something to do with this indeed. I remember after 2 of my kitties died that strange things happend when I wanted to see them so badly one more time. I am sure your mother is with you…

Yeah, I am sure that was your mom’s doings. I have been told that they send things as signs, and what better thing to send you than a bird.

Hormone Hell

I believe that the bird was sent by your mom. You had a pigeon before, and you want a sign from her. There it was. Before you go to sleep, say that you want to see your mom. She will probably come to you in your dreams. Don’t ask why, don’t question. Just enjoy and know she is with you. ~~hugs~~

I know what you mean. It’s been many years since my grandmother’s death, and I still miss her and want to see her. It’s the same with our family dog. I keep looking at dogs that look like her, and gettign hamsters that have her fur color. That is strange about the bird and butterfly. Maybe that is your mom in some other form. It reminds me of that one scene in Patch Adams.

In that scene, Patch Adams has just lost his girlfriend. He is standing on the hill, talking to God, and suddenly a butterfly comes, lands on him, and flies off. He then recalls that she said that as a child, she dreamed about being a butterfly flying off.
