Editorial

Here is a copy of the editoral I am going to send to the local paper:

To the editor,

Alliance Community Hospital is amazing! Everyone I encountered from the operator to the medical staff starting in the emergency room were very kind and helpful. Too bad you have to be sick to check in! ACH can take care of my loved ones anytime. They really know how to treat patients and their families. I hope someone from RURAL METRO ambulance service is reading this..you were really AWFUL to us..and I still say…even though you disagreed…that you shouldn’t send two women paramedics out if they can’t lift a normal size woman..calling ANOTHER ambulance for a lift assist is a waste of critical time in an emergency, it ENDANGERS the life of the patient. My friend who is a paramedic in Alabama agrees with me. We also didn’t appreciate the brusing on my mothers back and arm we have pictures if you would like to see them…And to the drark haired lady from the first unit…I saw the snarky smirk on your face when you unlocked the gate on the fence, pushed it open and walked away, risking the lives of my rescued dogs. I realize you had nothing to do since you called a second crew but that was totally unprofessional. My mother was in the house turning blue that was more than enough stress for anyone without you adding to it. So everyone must see how much the kindness we recieved after getting to the hospital was very much needed and appreciated.

While I am at it I want to send a shout out to Mr. Donald Hoopes at the Department of Health…the community is lucky to have you!

My goal in life…is to be the kind of person my pets think I am.

I’m glad you’re sending this letter out, because it always helps to make your complaints VERY public.

yes, you need to make this public. This is outragous that they treated her like that. Unbelievable. And then not able to lift her. You know, we have fire rescue come out on all calls and they took me to the ambulance… I guess its not common for the fire department to be called out where you are. I hope your letter will open some eyes

Good for you – I hope it gets printed in its entirety!

That’s a good letter. I’m glad you’re sending it, and I hope it can change things positively.
