Work

Today at work is has been very busy. One person who should have been there wasn’t, Moreover, during the weekend translators have uploaded translations and asked questions by mail. Some translation projects weren’t picked up and I had to make haste to find someone else. Due to Pentecost Monday the weekend was extra long, which means even more questions to be answered by mail. A lawyer called with a complaint which had to be sorted out the same day (and the translator couldn’t be reached). Other lawyers calling that they need a translation by return mail, which means immediately (we do have to do it first). We’re nearing the end of the month, which means that everyone wants to have the finances in order, which also means more work. Junior Project Managers ask questions. I really had to work fast to get things done. As a company we purchased two new translation tools. We have to get used to them and then we have to convince the freelance translators to use them (and they also have to be taught to use them). So we have several meetings planned to learn and to discuss how to convince and teach our translators. In the mean time the projects keep on coming. Translators have to be called and mailed and translations have to be checked.

I didn’t breakfast today. At work I was busy with other things. A started eating too late and I didn’t catch up completely. I ate 6 sandwiches today and a normal sized dinner. Not too bad. I aim for 8 sandwiches.

I watched the movie ‘Toast’, with Helena Bonham Carter. I didn’t like it. Maybe I shouldn’t have finished watching it. It is a close call. I picked the movie out to watch. It aired on Film1, which is a channel I pay extra for and doesn’t have commercials. So the choice to watch this film was okay, beforehand. I turned the TV off directly after the movie was done. I did the dishes etcetera. Exactly what was required.
