Yesterday, in between going to the zoo and starting to write in this journal again I also did another fun thing. I doubted whether I would go and see a show. I walked to and then passed the theatre. Then a sat down somewhere in the sun to gather my thoughts. Would I go? Or would I go home and make myself dinner. Going to this show would mean that I had to get my food somewhere in the city. However, I would go alone, which meant that going to a restaurant would be out of the question. I don’t much care for the food at McDonald’s. The show in question, the musical “legally blonde” won’t be playing much longer in the Amsterdam theatre Carré. This Sunday will be the last, but then I’m already going to the ballet. What to do? I have to think, stay calm. I had already checked whether there would be any last minute discount available, but I couldn’t find any. If I had the question would have been much easier to answer. After debating for quite some time I came to a decision. I had to, because waiting much longer would mean that I wouldn’t have time anymore to eat. I decided to go. I went to the ticket office and bought 1 first category ticket for 44 Euros. Parterre row 4, where I usually sit. These are places that are sold last but have the best view. You can be sure that you will see everything and that your view isn’t hindered by tall people just in front of you. After buying the tocket I had to decide where to eat. Luckily, I had found a good place just a week ago. ‘Wok to walk’ it’s called. It’s choice noodles with choice meat and choice sauce. It doesn’t take long to make and you can take it outside to eat. Ideal in this weather. Then I got a coffee at this great coffee place. I usually ask for a regular coffee, which is something they don’t often hear. The special thing I do take there is there cane sugar, which makes this quality coffee taste even better. And then for the main part of the evening. Legally blonde. I liked it a lot. You can see all the aspects from the famous movie, and there’s added to bling of singing and dancing, which fits perfectly. Elle carried an actual small and cute dog in her handbag. After the show when walking home I came across the dogs from the show (and some of the crew). The musical was concluded, but we got a short bonus. Pearl something, from the television talent show The Voice of Holland, performed three songs. Apparently she’s famous from television, but I had never heard of her. She sang OK. To conclude, I did a lot yesterday. It was nice. Zoo, reading, catching a show, writing, thinking.
