Hugo

Hugo is a fantasy movie about a boy who lives on a railway station and has an adventure trying to make an automaton robot work. He meets a girl, who likes adventures and who also for some reason has the key to solve the mystery. Everything leads an old man. Her uncle used to be a film maker in the of the silent movie. Then this movie turns into an homage of the early film makers. How they were creative and made something out of very little. Great old (looking) film footage is shown, which really gives you a feeling of nostalgia. This movie was shown in 3D, which must have been even better. Train arriving at the station. One of the first movies and people must have felt that the train was going to run them over. And then in 3D. As an adventure Hugo is just a normal movie that is not bad, but nothing special. The film history aspect is something a really love.
