Biutiful

At work I have done a couple of translation projects for the commercial team. Normally, I only do projects within the tender team, which are quite different. I liked doing these projects because you get to work on different kinds of texts (not only about law, but for example also about electronics) and you get to work with a different group of translators (they do not have to be certified for example). It gives a different perspective of the translation business and you get an understanding of what others within the same company are doing. I even had to find a translator Latin!

The month has come to an end and it seems that I once again have set a turn over record within the tender team. The team as a whole also reached its target, which is an above expectation result. It seems to be going all right. I hope to get get promoted from junior to medior and get a permanent contract. It is up for renewal on th1st of July, which is getting closer and closer.

Since I started work early today I also was home early. When I got home I was exactly on time to watch the Spanish movie Biutiful. I had heard a lot f good things about this one. I found it a very slow movie at first, and it remained slow, but that turned out to be one of its many strong points. It takes time to paint the situation the main character is in and how it changes because of his terminal illness. At points the films is very sad. Terrible things happen. I definitely recommend it. It is long, slow and art house, which should be seen in all positive ways.
