Self Inflicted cold!

Meh. I have given myself a cold. Bloody Nora!

Basically I had to go back into work on Sat night and being typical me I didn’t wash my uniform until the last minute but I still had enough time. Well I would have if the stupid washing machine had drained properly. So I had to do the cycle again and it still didn’t drain! I got the door open and the uniform was really wet. I rang it out as much as possible and got it in the tumble dryer but it was gone 10pm at this point and I was due in at 11. So I gave it as long as poss but it was still pretty wet and I was in a panic about getting to work. I suppose I should have worn something else but in the end I just put the wet uniform on and went to work. I knew it was a bad idea but I was in a rush. So now I feel lousy. It is justa  cold, blocked nose and sore throat sort of thing. But meh – it is my own fault. I will just have to dose up on medicine.

Lauren stayed home from school today as well. She was complaining about feeling ill a lot over the weekend and she went straight to bed after a bath last night even turning down chocolate that the boys were having which is very unlike her. She spent this morning lying on the sofa but this afternoon she has perked up no end so I am sure she will be ok for school tomorrow.

I have signed up for Aquafit on Weds night with my mother in law so I hope this cold doesn’t get worse.  Work was fine on Saturday night. They are offering overtime again which is good news. If fact they are crying out for it. Since Easter there has been a complete overtime ban which everyone has been moaning about. It is back now though and I have signed up for Friday night. Chris is working 10am- 2pm on Saturday so I won’t be able to sleep all day but I will cope. I will get home at 7.30am and sleep until he leaves which will be about 1.5hrs. Then I will get up and go back to bed when he gets home at 3pm. It will be ok. Lauren will be at my mum’s house so I will just have to get lunch for myself and the boys. Plan is to watch a movie together and by the time we have done that and had lunch Chris will practically be back home. I just hope I shake this cold by then as it makes everything that bit more difficult. Never mind.

Not much else at the moment. Sun is still shining! We have spend a good portion of the last 3 days in various parks. I love the  nice weather.
