Feeling Old!
So I am a great aunt at the ripe old age of 32!!!! I promise I don’t walk with a stoop, smell of mothballs and give the younger members of my family stale smoke kisses though!!!!
My neice gave birth to a baby girl this afternoon . Wow even just typing that makes me feel old. My sister is 16 years older than I am and my neice is 21 for anyone wondering how this came to pass! They have named the baby Phoebe. I haven’t seen pictures yet or got anymore details – only that mother and baby are doing well. I have a massive grin on my face. My neice, Sarah (named after me), always used to spend summer with us when we first got married. She was a teenager then. We used to call her the teapot because she was constantly making tea. I am quite close with her even though she lives in London so I do feel really emotional that she is now a mother. Feels very surreal. She and Philip are going to make wonderful parents. They got married in March (bit of a shotgun wedding). I am so so over the moon for them. Think I will be taking a trip down to London soon to see my little grand neice!!!
That’s it really – all I have to report. Back to smelly old work tonight boo hoo!
Congratulations 🙂
