50 Shades of Busy!!!!!!
So wow! It has been pretty much a whole month since I wrote a proper entry! just been so busy and not inclined to write – not sure why. It goes like that sometimes.
I didn’t go for the job where my sister works. It was tempting but I need something stable at the moment. I don’t mind my job – it is ok for now. Will look at options in September once Liam starts school.
We went to the parents’ evening at the school about Liam. It was good….I have been to it for Lauren and Joe so it wasn’t really anything new. We bought him some bits and bobs for school uniform. I can’t believe my baby boy is so big already! We have his preschool parents’ evening tonight at 7.50pm. Chris doesn’t finish work until 7pm so it is touch and go whether he will make it home in time. I don’t wanna drag my mum over here just to sit for 10 minutes so I will take a chance. If we miss it I will just apologise and see if they can see me another time. No biggie.
My life has been so so busy recently. Just so much to remember. Joe went on his school trip to the zoo today. He says he had a good time….since picking him up he can’t stop talking about baboons lol. Lauren has her trip on Friday to the museum of Welsh life. We went there before so she knows what to expect. Should be nice for her.
We had our house inspection on Saturday. STRESS!!! Anyone who reads me regularly will know my landlord is very picky. Well we spent 2 weeks cleaning the house from top to bottom and also we have made some improvements since last time. We have painted the hall, stairs and landing. Laminated the hall floor and the toilet room floor. Chris made a patio in the garden. We have put up new curtain rails and a new house number. Well the inspection went well – thank God. For the first time he actually seemed impressed. As they left he said "Keep up the good work". Relief!!!!
I also throughly cleaned all the carpets. I bought a George 3 in 1 vacuum cleaner. I love it. It is soooooo good. It is like a Henry but it washes the carpets too and you can use it on hard floors which is great cos my whole downstairs is pretty much laminate now. It was £200 which I can’t really afford but it is an investment. I have hired a rug doctor so many times and even had the carpets professionally cleaned before. George did as good a job as the professional cleaners if not better. So he is worth the money. I can keep on top of it now so the carpets won’t ever get too dirty. He is amazing as a regular vacuum too. I needed a new vacuum cleaner as mine gave up the ghost ages ago and I have been borrowing my mum’s! Here he is:
The kids like him too – Joe said "yay now we have 4 boys in our house"
Big Brother is back!!!! Loving it. Although this series they are just arguing ALL the time. Might as well be watching Eastenders!!!
Oh and yes I have jumped on the 50 Shades of Grey bandwagon. Everyone was raving about these books. They are good. I must admit when I first started reading the first one I did think they were not all that well written. I am halfway through book two now, 50 Shades Darker and I am well and truly hooked!!!! To say they are risque is an understatement!!! There is a storyline between all the sex though!!!
Lauren went up to Sunderland with Chris’ mum over the half term. 6 nights away!!!! I did really miss her – it was easier with just 2 at home though. She missed us too. When she got in her and Joe just thew their arms around each other and huged for ages. It was very sweet.
The kids have been making me laugh the whole time. The other day Lauren asked if she could make a sock puppet and I said "sure go for it" So she made it and then said to me "Do you like it?" I said yes and then she said "It is Kate Middleton" – well I wasn’t expecting that!!! lol. Joe made we laugh too. I said to him "It is nice to have a sister isn’t it?" His response? "it is nice to have a stinky brother too" – Typical – can’t be seen to be giving Liam a compliment without get a dig ijn about him being stinky lol.
We had Liam’s preschool sports day yesterday. It was good. liam was in 3 races. In the stright running race he came 2nd to last cos he didn’t start immediately – just like me that is! He came second in the bean bag race and he won the obstacle race. So proud of him!
There is probably loads more I could say but I think I will leave it there and try to update more often from now on!!!
Good to see you here despite being so busy! I too, try my best to divide my time for all the things I love or like to do – and writing here is one of it! Anyway, I wish you a very lovely day! Take care! And till then! ***HUG***
