Wolf Cub Debutante
Late, late, late. Seems to be a family foible right about now. Aniah was late getting here….and I am late to present her here.
With very little difficulty (although I am sure Chickie would snort derisively at that description) Aniah Elaine joined us here in the Wolf family. She was 6 days past her due date… but 2 days ahead of her induction date. I guess ‘late’ is a relative term, isn’t it?
Such a head of hair!! Chickie is happy, and taking to her role as Mommie Chickie quite well. Duck – well now (with no slight intended to my darling granddaughter) Duck is THE story. He was up with us at 3:30 a.m. to go to the hospital. He was supportive and loving all through the labor and delivery. He stayed all night in the hospital with Chickie and Aniah, taking care of each one as they needed it. And then he was up and off to work in the morning at 5:30 a.m. (No, the jerks where he works would NOT have let him off – even for the birth of his baby). And he absolutely adores his daughter. He is so attentive, so kind, so loving – it is amazing. I confess, I was worried, but I do believe he’s gonna be a great Daddy.
Young Stud and his wife happened to be in town for just a couple of days and so they got to see their brand spanking new niece. Chickie was very happy about that.
Her royal highness weighed in at 8 lbs 11 oz and 20 inches long. I gotta say…. I have never in a position to watch a birth like that…Wow! It is AMAZING. A mind boggling miracle of design. I feel truly blessed to have been a witness to Aniah’s grand debut.
Of course, the REAL story is – how did Daddy Dearest take it? Well…. look here and you decide….
Yep. Daddy Dearest is one happy great grandpa!
Everyone is well, everyone is happy. What else could be better?
I can’t resist this last picture….the first I am sharing that will someday be one of THOSE pictures that Aniah will never want anyone to see – cause its so ridiculously cute
Ahhh yes……a grandmother’s privilege – I think I’m gonna like this gig!
Oh my gosh, look at all that hair!!! She’s a living doll. Thanks for sharing these pics. 🙂

Congratulations! toad took a friend up in the cessna to establish low pressure and it worked- the obgyn is a pilot too and thought if they went up to 5K feet it might just work so they wouldn’t have to slice, and it did. 🙂 Nice that C didn’t have to either! 🙂 Me, i was 18 days late. No low pressure in the swiss mountains that month. 🙂

On my 9/15 entry, I responded to being tagged for “ten weird random things, habits or goals about yourself, and then list ten other diarists to tag and why”, so I chose to invite you. It could be next year, I know, or way after this little one can walk! 🙂
