Sour Apple Martinis Make the World Go Round

A couple of years ago I had a sour apple martini at a restaurant and immediately fell head over heels in love (and into my martini glass!)  The planets have not aligned properly since then, because I have not had another one since.  Until today.  Today I had TWO sour apple martinis!  And I could have a WHOLE LOT more if I wanted to… cause I found the recipe and the vodka and the sour apple pucker schnapps….. Bingo!

So excuse me if I ramble….

I’ve been watching the Sister Wives series on TLC.  Wish I’d know about this polygamy stuff way back when.  Looks like a pretty good deal to me.  Bet I’d still be married if I’d had some other women to stick share my husband with. 

I had a friend share this bit of insight with me and I’m going to pass it on because I found it to be oh so true.  There are only 2 types of people on the road when I drive.  The MORONS who go too fast and push me out of the way of their careless driving, and the ARSEHOLES who are going so dang slow……..right in front of me!  You have the same drivers where you are?

Did I mention that I found out how to make sour apple martinis and they are yummy?

Only 4.5 days left in this school year.  This has been an exceptionally difficult year and I will not be sorry to see it end.  Hopefully some sanity will return in mid-August when I return to school.  Hang on – did I just refer to "sanity" and "teaching middle school students" in the same sentence?  Wow – better double up on the martinis……..

I’ve been in a domestic mood today.  Doesn’t happen too often.  Matter of fact – these episodes are few and far between.  BUT I made yummy buttermilk Belgian Waffles for breakfast, apple martinis for lunch (just kidding – there was food.  I’m sure there was), and the most yum-a-licious 3-cheese baked grits and shrimp casserole ever for dinner.  Serious yumitude.    I should be domestic more often.

Speaking of which, I have been thinking a lot about who I am……..and why it pisses people off so much.  I really don’t try to…….but I do a bang-up job of putting people into a state of pisstivity.  Maybe I should start bringing a thermos of sour apple martinis everywhere I go…..hand em out right before I piss people off…….bam!  pissed-be-gone!

OH OH OH!  They just showed an ad on TV for sour apple flavor vodka – and my martini glass is empty – it’s a sign from the universe!!!
