My Reputation Is On the Line

The end of July will be here before I know it and the end of July brings my baby girl’s birthday.  As the reigning Godmother of Grandmothers in her life, I have a reputation to protect.  A cakey reputation.

On her first birthday, I let her mom indulge herself with a store-bought cake.  Poor mom was new at the birthday thing and Aniah didn’t know the difference anyway!

When her second birthday came around I silenced my daughter’s doubts about my awesome abilities and created this cake….

It was a hit.

When her third birthday rolled around I went for a little less "princess" and a little more tom-boy.

Another hit.

This year I asked Aniah what kind of cake she wanted for her birthday.  There was no hesitation when she said …."Justin Bieber!!!".  Great.  There is no way I am going to do a Justin Bieber cake.  No way, no how.  Nope Nope Nope Nope Nope.  Just say no to Justin!

So…….I find myself with my reputation in serious jeopardy.  Even if I had a clue about how to make a cake with JBs face on it, I’m not gonna.  So, in order to hold on to any shred of reputation I can salvage I must come up with a cake to eclipse Justin Bieber.

I’m open to any suggestions………..I’ll gladly share the credit  (along with an apple martini……)  Gotta keep my grandma mojo going!

Make a big J…then put glitter and swirls and maybe some Bieber rings and things of the like. Oh! Look at this http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_SS1jnin8ghc/S_X8zeQ0j8I/AAAAAAAAAYI/9CQ_2tJEjvM/s1600/MYDC5265.JPG

If you DO want to do a Bieber cake, two suggestions: 1. Recap your success with the “Barbie” cake but stick a Justin doll in the top to make it a “Bieber” cake (maybe the bottom could be a car instead of a skirt), or 2. Make a cake shaped like his tres fabu new tatt. Otherwise, there’s always Kung Fu Panda.

Lol, my kids get circles cakes with icing and sprinkles! Go you with the baking! Oh, and I have no suggestions for you… Sorry!

Awesome cakes! Love the suggestions. I Googled Bieber’s tatt — found it’s a star on his elbow. Seems like a nice generic design 🙂 Can add musical notes and such.

trying to figure out how a pink elephant is anything but princess LOL I would do a butterfly cake, nice and colorful, and JB is after all a little light on his feet if you catch my drift. smiles.

I was so glad when my son told me he wanted the chocolate no bake cookies for his birthday one year.

Make a stage, with a JB (or look-alike) doll in the center?
