I Have Arrived

After 160 diary entries I have finally arrived in the big leagues and received my first unsigned nasty note. I would have expected to be angry or hurt. Instead, I could only smile.

I think the note leaver gives me too much credit. It seems that this person feels that I am responsible for what is wrong with our world today. There is, in my opinion, quite a bit wrong and I just have to point out that for me to be responsible for it all I’d have to have been doing evil every minute of the day for thousands of years. Even if you believe in reincarnation, this hardly seems likely. But I would like to thank Anon for having this much faith in my abilities.

Have I done wrong things? You betcha. Have I made mistakes? There are too many to count or remember. Was letting my friend move in an error in judgement? Oh yes. I cannot disagree with Anon’s opinion – dumb move on my part. I did a bad thing. I was wrong. I have forgiven myself and will never again make that error.

I am a bit sad that Anon chose not to sign a name to the note. Perhaps Anon was afraid I’d be offended by criticism? Not hardly. Sometimes criticism is a bitter pill to swallow, but how can I be offended by someone’s opinion? We all have opinions and they differ from each other. It’s what makes the world go round.

Surely Anon wasn’t afraid that I would find out that he/she was human and had made mistakes, also!?! How does the Bible put it? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone? I am in awe of a person who is so righteous that he/she can be so secure in the righteousness of their own behavior. It must be a very warm and comforting feeling to know that you are truly good. Someday I hope to find that feeling for myself. For now, however, I still have a long row to hoe in front of me.

So, Anon, if you are still reading, despite your obvious distate for some of my actions, I invite you to email me. My address is on my contents page. I would welcome the chance to chat with you and find out what makes you tick, what it feels like to be you and what advice you might give me to prevent further unfortunate transgressions on my part in the future. One can never have too many friends.

Tell it sister!!! Don’t you just hate that Anon crap?! LOL I think I was on for a week when I started to receive “Psycho Hate Mail” LOL. They could have given me a chance to get used to the place! LOL

I’m so grateful to Anon. for zeroing in on what is wrong with this world — it’s Sunshine Wolf, down there in the warm South. And here I thought, I was part of the problem.

Now you know why I accept only signed notes. It takes courage to sign your name to your opinions. Cowards need not apply. I may not agree with every opinion, but I value other points of view.

Personally, I think that people who go about their lives like sheep, following the lead of self-important moralists and taking no risks…are what’s wrong with the world today.And that’s not you!

Anonymous note leavers are sort of amusing to me. They are the ones so affected that they need to say something, yet they can’t sign their names. Poor little souls. XOXO

It seems like most people who leave unsigned critical notes just want to make other people feel as miserable as they do.
