Dragging Butt, Still Smiling

Oh my! The past few days have been a whirlwind of activity. I had to get ready to go to work. All the necessary things that I had been putting off due to lack of funds had to be squeezed in. Oil change for the car, hair cut and, oh my god!, get rid of those roots!! New clothes – a new job requires one new outfit. And of course make-up. How can a woman exist without any make-up?

The building I work in is SO beautiful. Unfortunately we will be moving soon. I am going to enjoy every minute of it while we’re there. It’s the Candler Building, I think….(Is that near the Georgia Pacific building, Grumpy? I still have no clue where anything is!) Anyway, there is tons of brass and marble. The marble is beautifully carved with griffins and cherubs and intricate scroll work. The elevators are lined with wood and the top of the wood is carved as well…rams heads and more scroll work. Wooden floors….a sweeping staircase…it is awesome!

The job is going well…despite some inconveniences….like no real office just yet – I am sitting at a counter for now. But the people are super…and life looks pretty darn good from here.

I hope to catch up with all of you soon! I miss my OD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I miss u too! Sounds awesome at your new job!

You go girl!

🙂

So proud of you…*sniff*

Play nice with the other kids and don’t run with scissors. Oh….and don’t forget the lipstick for that glorious smile.

Everything downtown is reasonably close. Working in a nice office building does build the spirits better than a dump. Hope your new job goes well! New jobs are always a bit tough for a few weeks, tho.
