Another Addition to the Wolf Pack

First an update on sweet littly Nya….as the "opposite sex" is sometimes wont to do….she is leading my darling good boy Cassidy down the primrose path into bad behavior!  Just look what she’s gotten him into…..

Darling gullable (sp?) Cassidy.  About to join his ‘sister’ Nya in getting a good old fashioned scolding!  The nerve of that little dickens…crawling INTO the dishwasher!

To be fair, Cassidy is probably a little perplexed.  First we bring in Nya.  And then Simba joins the family.  Meet Simba:

Simba is 8 weeks old.  He is semi-feral.  His mom chose to give birth to him and his sisters at the house of one of our coaches.  She just appeared one day, Coach fed her,   Momma had kittens.  Coach kept Mom…just had her fixed so there will be no more surprises.  BUT he had several kittens needing a home.  I said I’d take one.  Simba is the one.  He is not used to being handled – Mom was semi-wild and did not appreciate Coach around her babies much.  The first day all Simba did was shake.  Days 2 and 3 he cried – nonstop.  After that he began to explore a little and now is mostly quiet.  He hides behind the large U-shaped couch in the family room.  When he thinks we’re not paying attention he comes out.  When I manage to snag him and cuddle and pet him, he purrrrrrssss like a motorboat.  Gradually he is getting a little braver….Some day he may actually refrain from running off if we take a step toward him!

I’ve got a boat-load of work to do….curriculum to re-write (and I’m getting PAID for it!!!!) and it has to be done by Monday.  It’s proving to be more time-consuming than I thought….better get back to work.  Hope you all are well…and better than better!

awww how cute I want one of each except for the cat sorry not a cat person. Lael wondering when Chickie’s room becomes the Sunshine House home for the wayward anmimal????

June 15, 2005

Oh, what a great wolf pack you are collecting! Every pack needs at least one cat. No doubt Simba will settle down as he realises that the rest of his pack are friendly and that his new territory is safe, even the bits of it not behind the sofa.

June 15, 2005

Bless you for saving these lovely creatures, P. You are an angel.

June 15, 2005

Dogs will be dogs, huh? Simba is cute. Hope you can get him fully domesticated. 🙂

June 15, 2005

Simba is adorable! I bet he will get more cuddly with time. That little they only know three modes. Sleep, eat, play. Even with my two cuddles only last a minute.

June 15, 2005

Cute kitty!!!!

June 15, 2005

I hate it when my doggie does that! He’s so cute though. And the little kitten,is cute as a button!!

June 15, 2005

I love his name..Even though he is tiny it fits him.

June 15, 2005

Omigod Omigod Omigod – it’s a FUR PERSON!!!! Ahem. Cute.

June 15, 2005

They’re all cute! Simba will be okay with your affection, it’ll just take some time. One of the best cats our family had was rescued from the wild. She was able to defend herself so well. I’m not a cat person–but she was really special. Cheers!

So, now you are well and properly owned. The pictures are wonderful, especially the dishwasher scene. Maybe Eve really did lead poor Adam astray. LOL. I always thought it was a terrible lie but there you have it, picture perfect proof.

well, your place sure looks like fun! little Simba couldn’t have found a better home 🙂

June 16, 2005

Maybe you can teach her to DO the dishes since she’s so interested.

June 16, 2005

I’m better than better thanks! I’d say, by the background of the dishwasher picture, that there was some human encouragement too!! Simba is GORGEOUS! I love cats so much 🙂

June 16, 2005

Just wait ’til Nya gets THAT little booger in on the action!

June 16, 2005

We had 2 cats brought in from the wild, they became very affectionate family members. You really do have a full house started there.

June 16, 2005

lol cute pics!

Aw, what cute fur babies you have!

this the same ralph nader who gets his ass kicked every four years? Need I say more? We always try to lynch the man in his second term, he said, saying more..but to quote both George Bush and John Kerry, Bring It On.

so you didn’t like the joke abt OJ? Really breaks my heart, but at lest you have always been honest enough, that when you don’t like it, you say you don’t like it I respect that. A lot.

Glad everything turned out ok. Love the bundles of joy!!

RYN: Your sister does doors? I wish I had thought of that. I have a photographer friend who, although he seems normal in other respects, does MANHOLE COVERS. He has them from all over the world. Before Hurricane Ivan, I had a collection of over 25 sets of animal eyes – just the eyes. Specialization is no longer limited to the medical profession anymore… 🙂 Thanks for your visit.

which is why you made the iCM list. And why your going to be on it, for a long time to come. Why does Nader want George impeached? Pray tell me that? Being a little slow on the up take is not an impeachable charge..sides, you impeach Bush, you get Cheyney? You want Cheyney?

why does nader want him impeached? Whats he done thats worth the time and trouble. Every president knows and understands pay back. of couse bush tried to make his cronies on Wall Street rich by privatizing SS. but he didn’t pull it off..

RYN An AP pays for itself after 10 trips. So if you are doing a 9 day vacation, and you get an AP then basically if you return in under a year your tickets in are all payed for an essentially free. You know, FL residents get $100 off of AP prices. If you just want a Fl resident one, bare bones that has some blackout dates I think it is either 99 or 199, it was cheap, but parking is not included..

June 16, 2005

I have the premium, and of course, it has already been “payed” for and some. I got it April 2nd and we have been there…*counts* 14…16 times… A single day ticket is the worst value, if you get a parkhopper after you get up to days 5 or 6 it is only $4 to add another day to it.(course you have to buy it all at once) I’ll be happy to meet you there sometime. :o)

June 16, 2005

Gotta love those doggie pre-rinses. 🙂 Your newest pack member is beautiful!

June 16, 2005

so ah….. you collect children and animals no? *grinning* that is a cute kitty. and maybe the puppy (can’t spell her name) was just trying to help “wash” them dishes? lol

June 16, 2005

One wolf’s dish is another’s dessert? Sueeet family you got there! 🙂

June 16, 2005

You’re a hoot!

June 16, 2005

Oops. That’s ryn: You’re a hoot!

June 16, 2005

lol, one of my dogs (they are corgis and short) decided to climb across the open dishwasher door to get to the other side while I was loading it. I was stunned. He could have gone under. lol Simba is a cutie and a half. Oh, god I am feeding a little kitty stray. Hope it is a boy. I don’t want no kitties.

June 17, 2005

LOL!

June 17, 2005

What a sweet and pretty kitten.

June 19, 2005

My Tessa is the MommaCat of a similar situation to Simba’s. She was feral and very sad when I first got her. It took her a few months, but she adjusted. She’ll always be shy, but she can be very affectionate when she chooses. I have no doubt that Simba, being just a baby when you saved him from the streets, will tame down just fine and would eventually thank you if he could.

Hey Sushine! So you’ve turned your house into a pet refuge huh? 😀 Good pics. I like the dogs & the kitten is soooo cute. I used to have a psycho kitten that looked just like that years ago. Got it for company for my older cat when I lived alone. But every day I’d come home to something destroyed by that devil cat. Ended up giving him away to a family figuring he needed more attention than I ….

August 13, 2005

….could give him. Plus he was driving the older cat crazy. Wouldn’t give him a moments peace. Funny thing was that I cryed just after the new family took him away. Go figure huh? … Your little kitty looks like a sweetie tho and will probably have a great time with the dogs. *warm hugs*
