And the Winner Is…….

… Sunshine Wolf by a snout!

We have been taking some training. “We” being the teachers here at school. We are part of a pilot program involving technology. “They” teach us to use all this cool stuff and then the school gets it for free. Oh bay-bee! I am not sure that this will be applicable or usable in my classroom – but I am always in favor of trying out new stuff!

The first half of the training is over. Our final ‘exam’, if you will, was to do a powerpoint presentation that is an interactive study guide. Theoretically, the students could use this to study on their own at a computer. Theoretically.

The instructor picked 6 presentations out as the best of the best. Mine was one of those six. Skippee! The other class participants then had to vote on which presentation was the best of the best of the best. THAT person would win a digital camera and printer combination package. WoooooEEEEEE!

So…..I WON! I now have a digital camera! AND a printer which doesn’t have to go through my computer. That is EXCELLENT because BOTH of my computers at home are hosed. One won’t power up and the other won’t connect to the internet. I am only here at OD because the screening software that the school district uses does not filter this site out. It DOES however filter out all attempts to connect to email accounts so I cannot access any of my accounts unless I go to the Public Library. That part sucks.

BUT I HAVE A NEW CAMERA! How cool is that? And SOMEDAY I might even figure out how to post pictures HERE! WOOOOOOO! Then…….why THEN……..oh the possibilities boggle the mind.
