A Circular Ditty

The sun goes up
and the rain comes down.
Inside my house
the carpet’s brown.

The carpet’s brown,
and her radio’s on.
Chickie’s radio blares
from dawn to dawn.

From dawn to dawn
I count my pennies.
Why do I worry?
I haven’t any.

I haven’t any
friends named Tex.
Not to mention
I ain’t gettin’ no sex.

I ain’t getting’ no sex.
Some days I curse.
But what the heck
It could be worse.

It could be worse
Just look around.
The world could be flat
instead of round.

Instead of round
the peg could be square.
Now how’s it gonna
fit in there?

Fit in there?
I wish I could.
But I can’t
It’s just no good.

It’s just no good
to keep this up.
As the rain comes down
And the sun goes up.

You know, there is some technical term for this kind of poem, but I can’t remember what it’s called. It’s s’posed to be really hard to do. Bet you didn’t know that … and I probably shouldn’t have told you. Heh! You CREATE the most amazing stuff, Miss Sunny W. 🙂

What a cool poem/ditty…I loved it and read it out loud to my librarian friend Vicki…we both laughed…no one else was in here, one of the nicer things about a small town library! What are you gonna do with your job offer/possible move? Still mulling it around? Best to you and yours and you know what? You are a total goofball and I love you for it!Thanks for the grin!(((HUGS)))

You are surely mistaken as I am quite sure the world is flat. Very flat. If not all the snakes would fall off on the other side. Love all your notes for which ah thanks yee.Alexias
