MY BRO is home!!!

So, Tuesday night I found out that my brother’s plane had something wrong, and he was delayed.  GRRRR!  I called his wife to find out if she knew any more information.  She said it was pushed back one day, which I was happy to hear.  So, I planned on going to bed early, early, early last night after coming home from Pink’s house.  VL was having a dinner part for some of her coworkers from out of town, so I got caught up in listening to their tales, and busting a gut!  These were some pretty hilarious guys!  (and one of them was SO very easy on the eyes)  Finally, I went to bed around 11, which is still very early for me!  I set my alarm on my cell phone for 3:30, and my alarm on my clock radio for 3:45.  So when my cell phone alarm went off at 3:30, I thought, ah…  15 more  minutes to sleep, then I get to get up and go see G!!!  Smile!!!!  Opened my eyes again, and thought, hmmm, that seems like more than 15 minutes, so I looked at the clock.  FOUR-FORTY-SEVEN!!!!!!!  *&^$#*&^#%!!!!!!!!!!!

I was up, in the shower, dressed, and in the car driving by 5:07.

I think it was about 5:40 when he called.  He told me where he would be, because, of course, they arrived early!  I told him I was about a half hour/forty five minutes out, and I’d be there as quickly as I could.  He told me not to “get in trouble”, and I said, Naw, I’m only doing 80 now!  🙂  I got there, parked, walked into the terminal, and was only about 100 feet from him.  I could see him sitting there, looking bored, but still looking so damn good.  I wanted to stop and take a picture of him before he saw me, but my anxiety was too overpowering.  I kept walking.  He saw me and got up.  We hugged, and started our all too short visit.  First thing he wanted to do was call his wife and talk to her.  While he did that, I got out the camera.  Think that smile is just because he’s happy to see ME?  I don’t think so!

After talking to his wife, we smoked a few cigarettes, and I took him out to show off  him my car.  Then we went back into the terminal, and I decided I needed to find a soda.  Caffiene was definitely in order.  Of course they didn’t have any Mountain Dew, so I had to put up with have Coke.  Of course, on the way to find the Coke, we found something else that has been on my mind, and he wasn’t too bothered by it either!  😉

We

I took this picture because he wants to send it to his buddies still in Iraq, who are missing out!

Man was that good!!!!  It’s been 9 months since I’ve had one of those!

Getting ready to get back on a plane.

Shortly before taking this picture, we were standing there, minding our own business, and this lady, probably the age of our mother, tapped him on the shoulder, leaned into him, and said, “God Bless You”  and walked away.  G said thank you to her as she was walking away, but I don’t know if she even heard it.  My heart was filled with joy at this little gesture on her part.  May God bless her as well!

It was such a short visit, but let me tell you…  it was SO nice to see him, give him a hug, and hear him laugh!  On his way back through Baltimore, I will get to spend even more time with him.  He flies in one night, and doesn’t have to check into the airport until 10 the next morning!  Then, if his flight doesn’t leave till the next day, we might even have a full day of visiting time!  Regardless, we’ll have one full night to visit.  I can’t wait.  I’m SO happy he’s home, even if it IS only for 15 days THIS TIME!

yes, I’m feeling blessed this morning!
