 i know it’s been forever since i’ve written….life has been busy.

last time i wrote, i apparently had some doubts about LT and where this relationship was headed.

i can now say with confidence that that is no longer the case.  i couldn’t ask for anyone better.  we’ve had a lot of really long conversations…and i think we’ve finally reached the point where we understand each other.  i’ve never been so happy.

a few weeks ago, we were out having a few drinks…and out of nowhere, he said that as soon as his disability money comes through from the VA he wants to ask me to marry him.  we’ve only been together just about 5 months…but i’ve known it was him from the moment i met him.  words can’t express how amazing it feels to know that your future is set, that you’ve found the man of your dreams.

we talk all the time about buying a house and having kids.  we even have names picked out: one girl name and one boy name.  i’ve never been with someone who was so willing to plan for the future.  it feels good to know that i’ve finally found someone who wants the same things i want.

aside from the fact that we are perfectly compatible, i am so head over heels in love with him that sometimes it’s slightly unbelievable.  sometimes i wonder how i got so lucky.  sometimes i have to pinch myself to make sure that this is not all a dream.  sometimes i think it can’t possibly be real…but then i open my eyes and see him lying next to me and i know that my life will never be the same again.  i know that i’ve finally found the one i’ve always been waiting for.
