Yesterday…..

….was my son’s birthday.  He’s 20 years old.  Hard to believe, especially when I remember every second of the day he was born like it was yesterday.  These past 20 years have been a heck of a ride, full of ups and down….mostly ups, though.  He’s taught me at least as much as I’ve (hopefully) taught him, if not more, and I wouldn’t trade one second of the past 20 years for anything in this world.  Being Josh’s mom has made me a better person, and I am eternally grateful and blessed God gave him to me.  Here’s a couple of pics of my pride and joy when he was a baby…

Gorgeous, wasn’t he??  Still is….of course, I may be just a bit biased…lol.

In other news……are you all ready for this?  I AM EMPLOYED!!!!!!!  Yes, you read right, Amy has a job!  I’m working as a legal assistant in a law firm and I absolutely LOVE it!  It’s very busy and everyone there is great…..it just feels right, ya know?  Like I was meant to be there.  So I’m back in the working world again, after being out of it for over a year and a half, and I couldn’t be happier.  God has truly blessed me…..with this job, my amazing family and friends, and pretty much everything in my life.  I’m happy and peaceful and content….life is wonderful! 🙂

Today is Easter, and I hope all of you have had a wonderful, blessed day and a great weekend!  Hopefully it won’t take me so long to post another entry in the future, but even if it does, I love you all!!

ryn: it’s so nice to meet you, amy! good luck catching up with my crazy life, since i tend to write long entries often. i did go back and read most of your entries… it really is heartening to hear that you’re finally settled after all the tumultuous times recently. i admire you for all you’ve gone through, and that despite the difficult times, you still have a great attitude! and it’s really cool that you used to work in chicago! did you live in the city or the suburbs?
