The Women’s Murder Club is back and better than ever!

Lindsay (a detective) and Joe finally get married, but their jobs leave them with little time to spend together.  Lindsay’s latest case involves a teenage girl (Avis) who was found passed out in the middle of the road….bloody and naked underneath a rain poncho.  She’s obviously just given birth, but where’s her baby?  What happened to Avis?  Lindsay and her partner, Rich, spend time at the hospital with Avis trying to get information from her but she can’t seem to remember anything.  Then she just suddenly leaves the hospital.  The more Lindsay tries to find out what happened to Avis and where her baby is, the more Avis seems to be giving them the run-around.  Turns out she has some secrets of her own.

Cindy (a newspaper reporter) is hot on a story…..several women have been drugged and raped and then left near their homes.  All their belongings are left with them, nothing is stolen, but they can’t remember a thing about what happened.  The more Cindy investigates, the closer she gets to finding herself in danger.  Will Rich, who has just recently proposed, be able to save her?

Yuki (an attorney) is prosecuting the case of the year.  Dr. Candace Martin is accused of murdering her husband, and Yuki, who’s had a string of losses in the courtroom, is determined to win this case.  She KNOWS Dr. Martin is guilty……or is she?

And then there’s Claire (the Medical Examiner), still happily married and living a drama-free life for the time being.  Which is a good thing, since the other three are up to their eyeballs in it!

Great book!  I love anything by James Paterson and I love all the Women’s Murder Mystery Club books.  This one did not disappoint!
