On the mend

Well, Aiden seems to be on the mend, but not until after a long couple of days. He went to the doctor on Tuesday morning, and the doc said that if he wasn’t improving or got worse, we needed to take him to the ER. We went to the ER around 6ish, and the doc there said he did still look dehydrated. He just wasn’t bad enough to consider taking labs or giving an IV. The ER doc did show us how to check his hydration level, though, which is something I should have asked our regular doc but didn’t. He’s only thrown up 2 times in the last 2 days, and he’s finally seeming to have wet diapers again (something he has lacked the past few days), so I think he’s on the mend. Hopefully by this weekend he’ll be all better.

Chris, on the other hand, woke up sick yesterday with similar symptoms. He ended up calling in to work, but not for the snow. He stayed in bed almost all day moaning and whining. Men are such babies when they get sick (no offense, Jay). He went into work this morning but is only staying a half day because he’s achy.

I woke up with a migraine this morning. No other symptoms, though.

Well, Aiden is fussing to be held and probably fed, so I gotta run.

Ugh, I so know what you mean about whiny men when they are sick.

I’m glad Aiden is on the mend…having sick babies is a really scary thing :0(

I’m glad Aiden is doing better. Ugh, why do men get so whiny when they are sick?
