My Job
I’ve been at BehaviorCorp for a lil over 3 weeks now, and I’m mostly really enjoying it. There have been a few bumps and issues come up along the way, but most jobs have those. I’m glad to be back in a familiar office with mostly familiar people. It’s also nice to be known as the "tech guru" again. Haha! The 4 of us interpreters are having a retreat on Monday to get to know each other better and to get things smoothed out to hopefully make the office run a bit more smoothly. I’m hoping it doesn’t turn into a preachy-fest from one of the super religous gals in the group. I’m trying to stay positive about it, but it seems like it’s a mostly pointless idea to have the retreat. We don’t have enough things to fill up an entire 8 hours, and I’m afraid a couple of the gals will try to take advantage of that and cut out early but still put down the full 8 hours on their time sheets. They do it most days, so why would this be any different. Sorry I’m typing in stream of conciousness, so some of this may not make a lot of sense. Overall, it’s a great job with BENEFITS that will start up in August. It’s nice to have a semi-regular routine during the week, too. I still have a bit of the craziness of freelance interpreting, but I also have my set 20 hours at the office.
In other news, Aiden is nearly walking like a champ, He’s even doing good with shoes, and he loves to just walk from one end of a room to another and back. He makes laps constantly. It’s too cute! He’s also sleeping all night in his own bed nearly every night. Woohoo!!! It’s so nice to have our bed back.
We also had a couple friends over last Saturday to help us clean out the back room of our garage. It’s now set up as a game room. We need to hang some posters and "geeky" stuff up to make it more "game-ish", but it is cleaned out and swept with tables and chairs set up. We even have an AC unit and a place to set up for Aiden to play. Another good thing about it… the baby monitor reaches from our house to the room in the garage, so late night gaming is still a posibility for us with Aiden sleeping in his own bed. Yay!!!
Hope everyone is doing well.

RYN: Oh ya, Chris is probably THE nicest man I’ve ever known. How he tolerates Mary, I’ll never know…lol. Must me love. But he’s great, and such an awesome father.
