It’s been awhile

I cant’ believe it’s been so long since I’ve posted anything on here. Between my family, my work, and GenCon, I really didn’t get the chance to do much of anything online for quite some time. A lot has happened in the past month or so. Let me recap…

One of the bigger things that has happened in the past month is that we (Chris and I) went to GenCon with several of our friends. We left Aiden with my MIL and my mom (each had him 2 nights) for 4 days while we went off and enjoyed time "off" from being a parent. It was a lot of fun, and I can’t wait until next year when we can do it again.

Another big thing for us is that we just had our bathroom remodelled. We got home from GenCon on a Sunday night, and the next day (Monday), we found a wet spot near the bottom of the bathroom wall and a puddle of water on the floor. So… $5000 later, we have a new bathroom and a repaired wall on our garage. It was a huge, un-planned-for expense, but it looks so awesome now! I’m just glad we were able to get it done.

Aiden is 18 months old now and growing like a weed. He’s 25.5 lbs and is 33 inches tall. His vocabulary is slowly growing, and he’s becoming more and more independent.

Chris is still doing the stay-at-home-dad thing and doing an awesome job at it. I know he gets stir-crazy from time to time, but you can really see how strongly he and Aiden are bonding.

I’m currently working at BehaviorCorp as a staff interprter 20 hours a week plus doing 15 1/2 hours of freelance work a week, so I’m pretty much working full time. It has it’s ups and downs, but overall, I enjoy the work I do, and that really makes all the difference in the world.

There isn’t much else really going on to speak of. I’ve been doing some more spiritual searching, and things are going well with that. I have a few friends who have been VERY supportive, and that makes things go much smoother.

Well, that’s really all I can think of to say for now. I’ll write again hopefully sooner than later.
