Yesterday, hubs and I took our daughter (13) into the city……NYC…to wander around and to see Mamma Mia. she was so NOT impressed with the whole thing. But she didn;t really want to go to begin with, so her attitude was bad before we even left the house. We are SUCH mean parents dragging her along to see a Broadway show. I did get her a backpack pocketbook off a street vendor, got a good deal for it if I do say so myself…they wanted $35.00, I got it for $20.00. That made her happy for a little bit. That and the fact that we went to TGIFridays and got  her mozzerella sticks. she DID say that if we bought her an IPod, it would make her VERY< VERY happy. And no, she didn’t get it….lol

We (hubby and I) had seen this show aboout a year ago and LOVED it. So much that we decided to see it again. I must say I was very disappointed in it. While I probable would have loved it if this was the first time i was seeing it, I thought the actors/actresses were MUCH better the last time. But as far as I’m concerned it was damn good. I love Broadway and all the excitement and hustle and bustle of the  city. I grew up in NY (Staten Island) and went into the city all the time, also worked downtown for years. Hubs is just now coming around to my way of things and enjoys going in to see shows. In fact, we are taking our daughter in Dec to see Wicked. I did tell her that if she was going to be in a bad mood and didn’t want to go, let me know now and I will try to give her ticket to someone who wants to be there……………she assured me today, she wants to go,…….we’ll see. I must say though, I wonder at times if hubby is only doiong this, so he can tell all his online "friends" what a wonderful hubby he is to take his wife in to see Broadway shows, as I know he does brag about it, telling them how he does all this for me and I[m such a *itch and I don’t understand him…. Oh well….

In our wanderings we came across a camera/video store. I went in to price a digital SLR camera. I have a Canon rebel with all the lenses and only want the body, they gave me a price of  529.00 for the rebel EOS, but when I when I agreed, he said that he only had a floor model and could get it in by friday. stupid me didn’t think of it unil sometime around 1:30 this morning, but when he showed me te camera, he took it off the shelf and it WAS IN THE BOX………..so how could it be a floor model??? I’m wondering if they were going to get me a refurbished one and sell it as new. I’ve heard good things about a camera/video store B & H Photo in the city that has a good rep. I called them and they gave me a price of 660.00 for the EOS 6.2 megapixels. If I order on line or by phone there is no sales tax, just S&H. Of course they try to sell the one that is 8.2 megapixels, but that is way out of my price range at the moment.

Hubs called and wanted me to book a room in Atlantic City in our timeshare. I did and we are going on the 28th  of this month for the night. He really thinks this being together will SAVE our marriage. I say get rid of the "girlfriends" and we’ll talk. he just doesn’t get it. I KNOW so much more than he thinks I do and can prove so much too.

Last night we had another wonderful scene here.  We come home from the city to a housefull of kids. which for the most part we don’t mind. I like when the kids have their friends over. Problem is they usually act like inconsiderate spoiled brats. For instance, soda and ice tea on the furniture with no coasters under neath. They think nothing of puttingn their feet on our end tables, or using the end tables as chairs, or using the cofee table as a bed.  When they are ready to leave, they just get up and leave………….leaving behind any candy wrappers, food containers, drinks, right where they were, be it on the floor (yes sometimes spilled onto the carpet) or wherever. Last night, they had 2 decks of pinnacle cards on the floor in the LR and in the garage…just strewn about.  Our 17 yr old son. just up and left with them. KNowing he SHOULD have cleaned up first. Well hubs goes down later on, and there are bits a bamboo pieces all over the LR. So he goes off. Now mind you, son whose friends were here IS NOT HOME. so he starts on the 15 yr old son. His question was……Where did this bamboo come from and what is it doing here?  Son says we got it about 3 weeks ago, and….. He got no further, cause hubby wasn’t asking when did it show up, he wanted to know why it was in pieces on the floor. So of course son says that’s NOT what you aksed and I answered you. Hubs retort was, "you know damn well what I meant and you’re just being a little wise ass". so those two start yelling and hubby calls son a f*ing stupid idiot and the war was now on.  Long, long story short, a while later (yep, it’s still raging) hubs was in son’s room calling him stupid and son is yelling back. next thing I know daughter is screaming, STOP FIGHTING and crying. I get out of bed to hear son telling hubs "never touch me again" and hubs now in his face saying, "what are you going to do about it?" Daughter is now cryinf hysterically so I go to her and bring her into her room and she crying that hubs was pushing son in the stomach and sons head was hitting the bunkbeds. Son who is 19 comes out and tried to calm hubs down, but that just caused more yelling. seems the 15 yr old was laughing at his father and telling him he was acting crazy, which only made hubby more mad. While holding daughter I mused aloud that this has got to stop and she asked if me and her could get an apartment somewhere else in town, just the 2 of us. Then started crying again and BEGGED me NOT to get divorced because she knows too many friends whose parents are divorced and thay ALL told her, it was worse after the divorce.  Neddles to say, there was no sleep for me last night. Again this morning daughter mentioned us getting away, but again stated that she doesn;t want us to get divorced. And since then all the boys have said that while they think he’s nuts and they don’t respect him, they don;t want us to divorce either. So I am one very confused person. We live with jekyll and hyde. I di dtell him he has to get counseling about a week or so ago, but I don;t think he’s looked into it yet.  We’ll see what kind of mood he’s in when he gets home from work and I’ll bring it up again. for now, I’m off to do some cleaning.

Take care all (I have no time to look this over, so forgive the typos, I DO spell well, just can’t always type well…lol

rgive the typos, I DO spell well, just can’t always type well…lol

lol…funny how you mention all those malls…I was out in King of Prussia today shopping. The neshiminy mall isnt worth the trouble; it’s actually off of Rt 1 South heading to Philly. Oxford Valley mall (by seseme place)is in line with the Quaker Bridge. Italian restaurants?…hmmm, let me think of a few and get back to you!…lol

I’m the same way….love going to Borders, b & n, to look at books. I was there today in fact for a bit. You should head to Nesh. mall then to talk with those people. Let me know if you need directions

maureen, take 95 south (PA side) to rt. 1 south. you will be on rt. south for a few miles and will see signs for the mall. at the first light take a left and the mall will be on your right. cant miss it. from princeton maybe 25-30 minutes.
