Poem

FAIR WEATHERED FRIEND

I looked
for you today
and yesterday
and even the day before.
You were not there

I needed your
calming ways
your perspective
your comforting
presence.

All I found
was the sound
of silence
echoing
throughout time & space.

I didn’t need for you to
 take away the
the pain
Just ease it with
your smile.

Why is it
when I NEED you
the most
That’s when you
disappear without a trace.

Are you my friend ONLY
when things are good
and I’m happy
Are you really my friend
at all?

I’d be there
for you
whenever, however
you needed me
to be there.

Guess that’s the
difference
I’d be there
no matter what.
You’re not!!

I would guess that you are referring to the man who you care about. I’ll be your friend though 🙂

count your blessings when you find a true friend. one that will be there through thick and thin. i was reading your diary page, and i think it is wonderful that you are so positive about your life. excellent that you are studying medical billing/coding/transcription. there are plenty of jobs in this field. thank you ever so much for the kind notes. have a wonderful day!

I enjoyed this poem.I find there are very few “close” friendships. Most are friends at their own convienence(I hope I spelled that right.) I read your entry page, and also enjoyed it quite a bit, sounds alot like myself. If you don’t mind, I’d like to read more of your diary…
