Would you believe two?

Having the University close for 1 day is simply amazing. But two in a row? This is unprecidented. I had already emailed my dept. last night because our township announced the girls school was closed. The class I am taking was also already cancelled too but that was because the prof was going to be out of the state (lucky her). I had originally planned to take the day off anyway so I could get caught up on my readings. It’s much harder with the kids running around.

This morning the alarm went off per usual and L went downstairs to see if the campus posted anyting. Sure enough, classes were cancelled again. I was amazed but L was less happy. It didn’t say that the campus was closed so she had to once again brave the elements and go. When she left, I got up too because I couldn’t get to sleep. (When I wake up, my brain fires up right away so going back to sleep isn’t always possible.) I came downstairs and was checking email when our phone rang. Caller ID said it was from theuniversity but it wasn’t a number I recognized. My first thought was who gave my home number out. Turns out it was L’s work saying they were closed too. I called L on her cell phone but she was almost to the door so went it for a bit. She wasn’t too happy. She left an hour os so later and picked up some breakfast inthe way.

I really should get motivated to shovel the driveway again. Looks like we picked up another 5 inches of snow after I finished yesterday early evening. L said the interstates were clear so I think we are going to go ahead with our original plans for dinner. Big question is if everyone else will ditch us now. Wimps!!!
