Family Concert
Sunday the Indy Symphony had a family concert that we took the girls too. I really didn’t know what to expect and especially how C would be but they had a blast. My dad who got me the tickets told us to go down an hour early because the have activities for kids. I am glad we did. They had 3 stations. The first was for kids to make little wrist tamboreens out of pipe-cleaners and bells. Anything thaty makes noise goes over well with them. The second place was a chance to meet some of the musicians. we had a father/daughter pair of brass players. They are really good at talking with kids. The final spot was my favorite. they had all sort drums and even water buckets. Someone in the middle lead all the kids in various rhythms. It was very cool.
The show itself was abotu an hour. it was mostly a few characters acting with music background. The story focused around a junkyard and he actors also played percussion on buckets, ladders, etc. The girls were glued. Great way to spend the day.
Sounds fun! Glad everyone had a good time. xoxo
