our house (in the middle of our street)

so im living in a house for 5 ppl in leicester, on a road thats pretty much the most popular with students, about 15 mins away from uni

the bedrooms in our house r wicked, there’s one small room and thats a completely reasonable size, the other 4 are massive and the person who gets the small room (in this case mike) also gets a small study, i love my room, the only problem is there isnt enough storage space, it also used to have a massive pink wardrobe (the reason i chose this room lol) but thats gone now

our crazy polish landlady has also built two new rooms in the loft, we havent seen them yet as they are locked but there is a new staircase in our house on the second floor that wasnt there before

we were a little worried about our landlady in the summer holidays, she didnt send us our keys for months and months and then none of us could get into contact with her, eventually they arrived, in an envelope marked ‘key enclosed’ – see? off her face! – with a list of rules such as no sex, no drunks, no ball games (seriously)

so our bedrooms are pretty amazing, the communal bits arent as gd but still gd enough, our bathrooms pretty small and has the worst door in the world, we have a tiny sink and a shower in the bath, but the shower is actually really gd

our living room is also pretty small but actually we all fit in it fine, its quite nice and cosy

our kitchens pretty gd i reckon, everyone else complains about the oven but its a shitty old gas oven, just like the one i have at home, its exactly the same, it takes ages to cook anything, the ignition button doesnt work so u have to use a lighter to light the gas, and the door doesnt shut properly – lol that sounds really bad doesnt it? – the only difference is that the one here is cleaner and the door handle doesnt fall off lol, our microwave doesnt really have enough power but ive only used it once since ive been here so its not a major problem, we also have the oldest washing machine in the world, the door doesnt lock so u can open it when all the waters still there lol, u also have to put it on a separate setting to drain it and another one to spin lol, but we do have a tumble drier, hurray, we didnt have one when we looked round the house and i didnt know how i would cope, especially as one of our rules is no drying clothes in ur rooms, we also have a washing line that i didnt kno was there so i have no problems adhering to that rule now im here

we do have a garden, of sorts… its strange cuz when we looked round i remember being really quite excited that we had a garden, it looked quite gd, now we’re here its horrendous, there are weeds n shit everywhere, its horrible

so apart from me having the worst chair in the world i love my new house

~~~
we watched hostel last night, i was expecting it to be really scary and gd but it was such a disappointment, it was probably the least scary horror movie ive ever seen, it was shockingly bad, the plot was that rich westerners go to a place in slovakia and pay to be allowed to torture and kill ppl, yep so a realistic plot, apart from that there were so many bits that didnt make sense or didnt work, as if he would stop to pick up his fingers, as if he would believe there was an art exhibition in that place, where the hell did he get that helmet with the horns from? why did he kill that man when he couldnt have known he was involved? it was ridiculous, very much not impressed
i dnt kno whats wrong with tom atm, i guess hes just homesick or having trouble settling in or something but hes seemed really grumpy basically all the time we’ve been here, i feel really distant from him atm, its like he cant even relax and be himself around me, i hope he starts to feel better soon
