A few new things…
I love you Papa.
On April 3rd, 2008 my grandfather lost his battle with emphysema. After suffering with it for a long 30 years, I’m glad he’s now in a better place where he can breathe. He had been on hospice for 3 years and had recently took a turn for the worse. It wasn’t a shock but that didn’t make it any easier on anyone in the family. He will be missed but we all take comfort in the fact that he’s where he can breathe again.
In other news, I joined a gym on Wednesday. My two best friends have been going to the gym since January. Up until this point I hadn’t been able to join because of money issues. I finally decided to take the plunge and join. I am so excited that I am taking a major step in getting healthy again. I want to be healthy for myself, my husband and especially for our son. I don’t want to be a mom that can’t play with their kids and has to sit on the sidelines and watch. I definitely am a hands on mommy. While I dropped off my son at the gym’s play center I noticed they were hiring. After I got home from the gym I called to inquire about it. I currently have a full time job 6 am -2 pm. The manager said they were hiring for nights and if I work 9 hours a week I could get a free gym membership! Holy cow! I haven’t talked to my husband about it yet but I know he’ll tell me to do what makes me happy. Well a free freakin’ gym membership would definitely make me happy! Not to mention some extra moolah in my pocket. This is so great. Of course I’m a little too excited seeing as how I haven’t even filled out an application yet! I have 3 years worth of daycare experience. So I don’t think there’d be any reason I wouldn’t get hired. Anywho… when I go to the gym tomorrow night I’ll be filling out an application and hoping for the best! Keep your fingers crossed!
