[day 121] Cancer never sleeps…

Cancer NEVER sleeps. Yesterday well and today was relay for life. I had my times backwards, i actually was walking from 1:30 to 3:00 and then 3:30 to 4:00. haha. Noone thought that i would do it but boy did i. I thought at first i was going to walk a lap and then run a lap, and then after doing that for 2 miles, i realized that i still have a little over and hour to keep going. So i stopped and just walked it in a fast pace. I got about 6-7 miles in last night. It was amazing there were people on the track that ran for over 8 hours straight. Obviously they were marathon runners, but still, i was very very impressed. They were just completely soaked and drenched with sweat. I took a little bit of pictures, but my battery ended up going dead so i didnt really get that many. I think that i was on the best team out there, the Curves team! Woohoo! Our shirts were awesome and not only that but we did things in the middle of the field for the little kids every 30 minutes up until 4:30am. It was good stuff. I did some kareokee, and then started my walking.

It was so sad to see all the cancer survivors and see people holding pictures of their loved ones that they lost. I really wish that my camera wouldnt of went dead. =( My friend Brooke (works at curves) her dad passed away this year from cancer and its really sad because last year he walked relay for life as a survivor. This year he was remembered as a victim. Im going to take pictures of our shirts from curves, and post them on here too. I really like relay for life..its such a good cause. Last night when they counted the money the entire event had raised over $209,000 i think when it was all over they probably raised $300k. Hmmm, i really need to dump my camera and post some pics…. the few that i got….

i missed the candellite service, i thought that it started at 12am but it actually started at 9pm and i got there at 10pm so i didnt get any pics of it. But let me post the pics=)… This is what the shirts look like that curves made. The names in white are people that memebers at curves that are victims of cancer, the names in purple are survivors. I finally got one, they had NO mediums, so i had to get a large. oh well, all the money got donated to relay for life..

Me (after walked 7 miles) and Linz (watching the kids play in the middle) at Relay for life…

I wish i would of gotten more pictures but my camera went dead halfway through….it sucked!!

I did Relay a couple years ago and it was exhausting, but it’s for such a great cause. I feel like everyone I know who has died young has died from cancer, it’s a terrible terrible disease. I’m glad you had fun! I got so sunburned.
