It’s A New Year
Well, it’s the last day of the first month of the year. And what a month it has been.
New Year’s Eve was quite amazing. I made chocolate fondue for the party at Jason’s house. Everyone seemed to like it. And I was very happy that Jason helped me make it, and he really liked it. Blair came over to his house for a little while and we played the game “Scene It”. We had fun with that. There wasn’t really much going on, but I liked being with Jason. Especially for the most amazing New Year’s kiss at midnight! We both left everyone else and were in his room, and… wow… I love him so much. We even had sparkling apple juice. Haha. I’m really glad that our parents get along and that they were able to come over to his house. They had a good time. The next day we went over to William’s house and had a “Rock Band” party. That was very loud, but still fun.
Jason and I went to see “The Screw You Revue” at a lounge on I-Drive. As usual it was very funny. And a lot of fun. And best of all free. After that we stopped over at the Florida Mall and visited my dad at the Apple Store. We were hungry and so he had me drive to Long John Silver’s to get dinner. As we were going to drive threw I noticed Stephanie was inside. He than realized that Tim was there too with a group of other people. So we ended up going in to eat. Aparently one of Tim’s brother’s friends just joined the army and had all his grant money from school since he wasn’t going anymore, and they bought one of everything off of the Taco Bell menu. Wow. Well, they invited us to go bowling after, and the guy with all the money paid for everyone. So that was a lot of fun, and very unexpected. Jason and I were just gonna get our food to go and eat back at his house. But instead we had quite an eventful evening.
I was sick for a week. Which I really did not like cause I don’t like feeling all crappy and blah. And I didn’t get to see Jason, which made me really sad. I didn’t want him to get sick, so I didn’t want him near me. Though after a while he didn’t really care anymore and said he wanted to see me despite my sickness. So I stopped over to see him for a few minutes before I went to work one night. I just didn’t let him kiss me, which made us both sad. And the next day he said he wanted to see me again, and he said he didn’t care how sick I was, he wanted to kiss me. And it was amazing. I missed that. I’m glad he didn’t get sick. He is a strong guy. My dad even got sick from me. Oy.
I am a member of a Relay For Life team this year. And I’ve been trying to raise a lot of money for it. I managed to get quite a bit online which has really made me happy. My team however had a fundraiser at a restaurant, Bill’s Elbow South, to raise even more money. I believe we did really good. My mom and I got there around 10:30am, and helped my uncle get everything set up. We were getting 10% of the restaurants sales for that day. And we were selling raffle tickets for prizes. I was planning on going to a birthday party for William that day, but when I got home Jason said he wasn’t feeling good and didn’t even know where the party was. So he didn’t feel like going. So instead we went to eat at Bill’s Elbow South, to help with the fundraiser. And he’s never eaten there before, and he said he really liked it. And I was very happy that he decided to eat there and help out my team and Relay, since he’s already given me a donation online as well.
My Half-Birthday was on Monday. Yay! Haha. How many people actually celebrate half-birthday’s or even care… well I do. And my family does. My parents got me a present. And I never get presents. I didn’t even get a present on my actual birthday. But they got me an iPhone. I’m still learning how to really use it. But it’s fun. And Jason loves it. He even made a folder of his stuff on it. Haha. And we took pictures of ourselves with it. And he plays with it more than me when we are out together. We celebrated by going to Disney that day. We went to the Magic Kingdom. It was fun. After that we went to Downtown Disney and he finally found a movie he’s been looking all over for “The Jerk”. So he got that along with 3 other movies. So we went back to his house and had a movie night. Very fun.
Tuesday was Faith’s birthday. I had a coupon from Kobe Steakhouse for my half-birthday to get $10 off my meal. I had a reservation to originally go on Monday for my half-birthday but since Jason wanted to go to Disney I changed it for Tuesday so that way Faith could also go and get her birthday meal. It was a lot of fun, and I love that place. Oh so yummy.
Also on Tuesday morning I got a call that made my dad… and my life! I have been wanting to stage manage a show for Orlando Theatre Project, but was having so much trouble getting everything figured out. Well, I got a call from Jim, saying that he was sorry for taking so long to get back to me and was hoping I was still interested in stage managing Doubt. And of course I was! And he said the part I was waiting to hear for so very long… he had talked to the Equity office in New York to see if I would be able to sign on with an Equity contract and they said “YES!”. I am going to be a member of Actors’ Equity Association!!!!! I was so excited when he said that. My mom and I were jumping around screaming and crying. Finally after all this time my work pays off. I am going to join the union and UCF and all those other people out there who didn’t think I could make it as a stage manager, can go kick themselves for all the crap they put me through. I am so excited and I will get to start my AEA stage management debut with the theatre company I started the EMC program with. I’m glad that at least OTP feels I’m ready to be a professional stage manager.
Well, that is all that has been going on in my world. Very good news that all makes me happy. I’m in love with the most amazing guy ever, and I have the job I’ve been working towards all my life. Now I just need money.
Love,
