I Don’t Like Being Lazy!
So I’m very lazy. I have plenty of time to write about everything that has been going on in my life, but I never do. And now I can’t remember a lot of it. It just goes to show I’m getting old. Oy!
But so many wonderfuly amazing things have been going on. And one big amazing wonderfuly thing, I’m going to Israel next month for the Taglit-Birthright Israel trip. Yay! A free trip to Israel. Or so I thought free. Oy. This free trip is turning out to be harder then I thought to find money for. They should have said when you apply that you have to pay for your transportation to where you fly to Israel from and back. So I’m flying to Israel from Newark, NJ. And Flying back from Israel into New York. So I have to find the money to get the plane tickets. Ugh. And then there are several other expenses you don’t get told about till you are accepted for the trip. Non the less I am very excited and scared about going. It’s going to be one great experience for me though. Yet I will miss my family and Jason very much. Especially Jason since I’ll be there during New Years and will have no one to kiss at midnight. 🙁
So Jason and I went to the SAK Company Party October 13th. Yes, our year and a half anniversary. 🙂 Hehe. It was a lot of fun, and I ate a whole lot of food. It was all very good. And then they gave out awards and prizes. Well, me being the amazing person that I am, happened to win the grand prize for the evening. A Dooney & Bourke purse worth $400. Wow! I had no idea what the purse was actually not being big on purses. But a lot of the other girls there were very jealous and said they wanted it. Well, me being the kind of person that I am, along with Jason, we both thought… I could sell it on ebay. So that is what I’m doing now. Right now it’s up to $41.01. I’m hoping it will get to the $350 I’m going for. And then I’ll be all set to get my plane tickets. 🙂
I never wrote about the cruise! Oh my! It was amazing! Except for being sick. But the cold medicine I was taking worked very well and I only had my coughing fits at night. Blah. Though Jason tells me he was not disturbed. Wow! When I finally started feeling better and felt like eating food, I ate so much! I was so worried about that at first since when I have a cold I don’t feel like eating anything, but I ate. And it was so good. When we first got on the ship we all went to find our rooms. There was a bit of a mix up apparently with the reservations, cause they had all four rooms set up wrong. Jason’s parent’s room and our room were suppost to be set up as a queen size bed and the other two were suppost to be twin beds. Whops. Well, as it turns out the beds were able to be changed around from twin to queen. So the other two rooms pulled there beds apart, and we actually ended up keeping ours apart as well. One reason since I was sick and didn’t want to be on top of him and another cause we wanted the table that came between the beds up for extra room for our stuff. The itinerary for the cruise was switched around a bit due to the hurricane that just had to come at the time of our cruise. So our first day was a cruising day instead of being at Coco Cay. I was fine with that cause I saw it as one more day of somewhat rest and getting myself better before getting to an island. I really wanted to do the rock climbing wall, but since the weather wasn’t very nice out it was closed. Jason really got addicted to the casino. Not good at times. We liked hanging out at the front of the ship since it was super windy and my hair was all over the place. Hahaha. The first island we went to was Nassau. The water was so pretty! I wish I had a way of bringing it home with me. Haha. The one thing I did not like was the sun burning me despite my obsessive use of sun block. 🙁 It was just so bright there. I wish we could have taken a tour or the Atlantis Hotel. We did get to sit on the big thrown though. 🙂 And the whole driving on the other side of the road… freaked me out a bit. That night at dinner in the dining room, our server brought me a little birthday cake since I told them on our reservation for the cruise it was my birthday. Oh yeah! 🙂 And I loved how you could order as much as you wanted off the menu and you didn’t have to pay for it, since it’s all included in the cruise price. At Coco Cay there wasn’t really much to do. Well, there was, but I’m not really a beachy kind of person. And I didn’t really want to go into the water. Jason and I started walking on the walking trail, but it was just so hot that we turned around. And the boat ride to the island and back to the ship was very rocky. But I survived thanks to the little patch behind my ear. 🙂 haha. I had so much fun on my first cruise, and what made it even more special was that I was with Jason! Even though I wish my family could have gone too. But it was still nice being with his family.
This past weekend I worked as a monitor for The Lion King national tour auditions. That was very cool. The first day was singing auditions, then dance, and then call backs. Wow… they worked them so hard. But I guess they would since it’s for a Broadway show. And it was also a great learning experience for me working with a New York casting agency. 🙂
Jason says he wants to be with me forever. I like that a whole lot! He makes me so happy. We’re going to Disney tomorrow and he also said he’s going to renew our passes. Yay! We went Epcot with my mom and uncle’s three weeks ago for the Food and Wine Festival. That was a lot of fun. My friend’s Heather and Cid gave me passes to get them in. We ate so much! 🙂 Again with the food. Oy. I hope all this eating doesn’t catch up to me someday. I need to start dancing again, or at least working out. I’m so out of shape, even though so many people keep saying they want to look like me Hmm.
Well, I updated here. I feel better about myself now. I’ll try to get on again before I head off to Israel and give a holiday update. We’ll see how that goes since I’m sure things will be crazy with work. It’s already been crazy. Where do people have the money to buy so much stuff. I want some!
Alright, well I’m off!
Love,
