So long

Random Thought Of The Entry: It’s really sad that this "place" is going away.

I can’t even quantify this website’s meaning to me. I’ve been writing here since my time at the University of Connecticut back in October of 2001, and so many things have transpired in those past eleven-and-a-bit years.

I’m very grateful for everything that this "place" has brought into my life. I found my brainmate of a wife-o-nator here, and we’re proud parents to an amazing little girl. The numerous people whose lives I’ve read about have all enriched my own life in their own ways. There will never be anything that can compare to what Open Diary was when it was working properly.

Since the end-time of this "place" is relatively vague-but-coming-within-the-next-weeks, I’m going to bid you all a very fond farewell.

I have a Prosebox under the same name (squidobarnez), so if I feel the itch to write something down it will be over there from here on out.

I really do love you all, and thank you for being wherever you are and for sharing yourselves with me.

It must be really hard for couples who met on FB. I’m having a hard enough trouble coping without that added fact. I hope I see you on PB but if I don’t I want to say Thanks for your positive attitude. In troubled times I would often stop and think what would Jake’s reaction be.
